As far as I know, the Marine 1 watercraft was designed just for this model kit. It reportedly had a rubber band-powered propeller that made it move over the water.

This is cool. The original Ready Room set dressing model NCC-7100 (made from classic movie Enterprise and anime model kits bashed together with some custom parts) and the filming miniature of the U.S.S. Stargazer NCC-2893, which took the cool background model and made it a "real" ship. Originally the Stargazer was to be Constitution-class and they planned to reuse the classic movie Enterprise miniature until they realized they could afford a new starship design - hence "Constellation-class" since it dubs over so easily.
