It’s not your job to be likable. It’s your job to be yourself. The right people will gravitate.
you don’t have to let them know you’re doing good; you don’t have to prove anything. you can just do good. just be.

Rugrats | s01e03 “At the Movies”
Disney, please, stop killing my childhood. Thanks.
When I’m done, half of your childhood favs will still exist. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be… I hope they remember you.
*Rocket voice*: Oh Pooh.. no.. no.. no……
Dont touch the lion king and we’re cool
How you gone kill mufasa when he already dead?
I am upset!!!
Low-key laughing tho…
Fun isn’t something one considers when balancing the universe.
But this…
does put a smile on my face.
Mr.Disney, I don’t feel so good.
This is still the best thing on the internet

my mom thought otp meant “oh, the pain.”
what’s the difference
Astronaut readjusts to life back on Earth
> Don’t give him a baby for a while.
HE GRABS THE CUP BUT THEN HE DROPS THE PEN 0.0003 SECONDS LATER
AND HE LOOKS UP AT THE CEILING INSTEAD OF AT THE GROUND WHEN HE CAN’T FIND THEM
I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING HE JUST DROPS IT
IT’S NOT FUNNY IT’S VERY LOGICAL THAT HE WOULD HAVE ADJUSTED TO LIVING LIFE WHILE HE WAS IN SPACE BECAUSE IT’S DIFFERENT FROM EARTH BUT I CAN’T FUCKING BREATHE
*THUNK*
i love it so much every time i see it
“ugh stupid gravity”
IM FUXKING CSHAKING
I haven’t seen this post on my dash in *years* bless this
Bless, this is absolutely amazing
I love this. It’s so gestural and he’s so exasperated about gravity.
The perfect comedic timing of the NASA logo.
Wait for it
Que weno
is anyone going to tell the people in the notes who are calling the driver an idiot that they did not, in fact, wait for it?
(or that the driver that other people so clearly see is, in fact, not)
Talk about a plot twist
There’s no one sitting in the drivers seat. I watched to the end, then watched again. There’s no figure in the drivers seat.
@spectraspecs-writes there definitely is a figure in the drivers seat
Oh now I see the steering wheel there, I just assumed it was an American car. Thank you I thought this dude just put a GI Joe in the passenger seat but not the drivers seat for some reason.
Here's a fun songwriting tip for you (could be applied to all kinds of writing though)
I don't delete anything, like... At all.
This method works specifically for songwriting since when you write lyrics you are forced to edit it on the spot. Unlike storywriting where you can free write and edit later, in songwriting every sentence affects the structure of the next in a more obvious way, so you have to write them to fit each other.
So let's talk about why you might wanna delete something, and why you shouldn't:
Deleteing full songs/stories- that's a no no BECAUSE even if it's trash it might be recyclable after some time. Lot's of times we write crappy songs, but mostly part of them is good. Weather it's an idea, a theme, the structure, this one metaphore or whatever. It might be useful or inspiring later on.
What do i do instead? I hear you ask- just keep it somewhere, on your files, in your notebook. As long as you can still find it that'll be great and worst case scenario you won't look at it and it'll just stay there
2.deleting phrases or sentences while/after writing-
This can be very tempting bc what you wrote may seem off/cringy/too[insert anything here] or just could be better. But many times this line has a reason to be there and you'll need to find the reason in order to replace it
What i like to do is to add notes for possible replacements
Im gonna use the song "break my heart again" by FINNEAS as an exaple of what my notebook would probably look like if i were writing this song (actual final lyrics of the actual song are highlited in purple)
[disclaimer: We're gonna pretend im writing the song right now even though it's not mine and I'm adding a fake process here]
Hey you, im just now leaving
Would you come around later on this evening ?
Or do you need time?
You can't help it if you changed your mind
(/Yes of course, that's fine)
You see the black line felt off so i put a replacement note in a (/), most of the time i find those are the lines that get stuck in my head and they stay there. I don't delete them, in case i wanna change back or use them still.
Hey you, good morning
Im sure you're busy now why else would you ignore me?
Or do you need space
If we get stuck on the next line we can use the idea from the line we replaced, but not deleted and create a better fitting line for this verse :
You can't help it if your mind has changed
Some more useful marks i use for things im not sure about are:
(+ if i might want to add this line but im not sure)
(/if i might want to replace the line) and
(?if im not sure or want to check something before deciding exactly)
You can customize that as you please
I hope that helped you, im sure that can be applied to stories too in a way and once again this song is not mine and it's probably not how it was written, i just used it as an example of what using this technique may have looked like. This song is made by the amazing singer, songwriter and producer FINNEAS and belongs to him :)
Thanks for reading i hope it helps you and i hope you write great stuff!!
THIS WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST HELPFUL THING I’VE READ SINGERS/SONGRWRITERS/WRITERS!!!
Im so happy to hear that!! It took me a while to figure out :)
It really helped me. I had writer's block for over a year now, and reading this really helped me get a song out today. Thank you so much!
Oh really? yayyyyy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 good job! My advice for writers block is to write everyday no matter how trashy/little you can and eventually some good songs come out if it
I might post more songwriting tips, i didn't know anybody needs them bc most of writeblr are story writers
Im so happy it helped you!!
Honestly so am I! Thank you! I cant thank you enough.
