—yeah, you’re going to have no idea what you’re talking about and it’ll affect how you vote. This isn’t an anti-higher education post, go get that degree if you’re sure it’s needed. But completely normal, rational people graduate from high school and then come out of college four years later with micro bangs, shaved off eyebrows, 27 facial piercings, and a friend group of exclusively people who sexually identify as aliens. The pre- to post-college pictures of lots of these people are insane. It’s (mostly) the education system that’s doing this to people. I think people who are newly emotionally riled up after college at about that age shouldn’t be allowed to vote. By the time you’re 30 you’re most likely done, you’ve had time to cool down from that, live a little, see for yourself how the world works, and come to the conclusion that college filled your head with a bunch of bullcrap, because your lived experience contradicts what you were led to believe. Then, I think, it’s safe to allow you to vote.
