I will never get over the fact that Frieren leaves Himmel: a young, handsome, kind man who is THE hero of the millennium for 50years and when she comes back to see him it turns out he never had a family.

Not a sign of a wife or children.

He knew that Frieren will realize they love eachother eventually and he knew he will be dead by then.

And he was completly okay with that.
