Got genuinely cyberbullied into deleting a thing on instagram where I pointed out someone doing a polyphobia. I just I can't block them all. I got a half dozen comments per day yelling at me about it. I blocked the people getting into arguments in the comments. But I can't block people before they get to yell at me. Everyone gets at least one comment to say the love I have for my girlfriends is disgusting, that I'm just seeking validation, or I'm an abomination. I figured it would stop. They'd slow down and it would get easier. The thing about instagram is it will keep circulating posts as long as they're getting action. Each new comment probably means the post was served to X many new people. So my comment being controversial means that more people see the post and my comment, it loops back in on itself. It's been going strong for over a week. I was done, I couldn't take it anymore.
Being poly is the most queer I've felt.
I can't delete it. I keep trying but they can still comment on it. I'm still getting yelled at. I just want to be left alone.
It's almost funny.
About a third of the comments are telling me polyphobia isn't real. Either queer people saying how dare I compare being poly to being gay or trans (I'm gay and trans, I can compare them, fuck you) or randos telling me I have a self-persecution complex comparable to magas. Also because the original post was about polyamory being brought up in the workplace, there's a bunch telling me that no one would ever get fired for being poly and I'm being dramatic.
So, polyphobia isn't real?
The other two thirds are mostly making fun of poly people, mostly myself, and fantasizing about various forms of violence against us. Saying they would get a poly person fired. That they want to "bash those polyfegs[sic]." That it's good for poly people to be oppressed because "that shit is unhealthy and has no place in society."
So I am simultaneously being spammed with messages calling for violence against me, telling me I'm dirty and don't belong in society. Meanwhile about every third message someone says "haha this guy thinks polyphobia is real." Oh yeah did I mention that most of them are misgendering me?
BEING POLY IS THE MOST QUEER IVE EVER FELT
