I really like this picture because I like to think Thomas and Daisy are good friends. They had a rough start but in the end they could probably see they had a lot in common. Itâs easy to imagine a time typical umbrella right?

I will wear this mentally every day!
still canât believe those mcu writers genuinely thought theyâd written a straight character they honestly believed Steve was like âhey Buck now that Iâve sneaked into the army after you and magically transformed myself into a hunk and single-handedly broken into and blown up an entire Nazi death camp for you thereby risking courtmartial I think itâs time I finally admit my feelings for Peggy! There you are! Sorry about my radio being shot-â
ânow that weâre sequestered here in this darkened corner of a golden lit smoky pub, separate from our other friends, where we are leaning close and murmuring quietly to each other, making protestations of undying loyalty and comments about each othersâ looks, I really think itâs time we acknowledged this smouldering unspoken chemistry there is between me and- Peggy! What a great and yet strangely unnecessary dress!â

This pencil work is so lovely
I think my biggest issue with the way that Buckyâs trauma was handled in FATWS was that it focused entirely on the bad things he did as the Winter Soldier and at no point brought up the torture and abuse he was subjected to during his 70+ years as a prisoner of war. Addressing Buckyâs feelings of guilt is fine. Thatâs something that previous movies established, and of course itâs a part of the healing process. The problem is that every single time we see or hear about Buckyâs time with Hydra, it only ever references the parts where the Winter Soldier did something bad.
CATWS and CACW both showed the Winter Soldier doing bad things, and CACW even touches on Buckyâs guilt over it. The difference is that they also made sure to show the abuse Bucky was subjected to (the bank vault scene in TWS and the opening scene of CW for example). So yes, we know that the Winter Soldier was a ruthless assassin, but we also know that Bucky was subjected to horrific torture and stripped of his agency in order to make the Winter Soldier be that way. FATWS just glosses over all of that. The only scene we get (and itâs a great scene, to be fair) that addresses the horror of Buckyâs treatment by Hydra is the flashback to him in Wakanda when the triggers are finally removed. But then that scene feels really out of place when the rest of the series presents Buckyâs past as though it was something he had some sort of active choice in. I mean, one of the main plot points of the show involves Super Soldier Serum, and yet never once is it acknowledged that Buckyâs serum was the result of non consensual experimentation being done on him. Itâs a perfect opportunity to address the complex feelings Bucky must have about it and they just waste it.
At the end of the day, it really flies in the face of the foundations set by the previous movies. Bucky is a victim, thatâs clear, so why does FATWS feel the need to act like he has some responsibility for what happened to him? Why did they decide that when it comes to their character suffering from PTSD, they were only going to focus on how potentially dangerous he is? Itâs just flat out poor writing tbh.

Nailed it.
By the way, that original quote is from the showrunner and director Kari Skogland. How are we going to get proper characterization from someone who thinks a man who was tortured and brainwashed into submission has to take responsibility for his actions even though he had no will and he was forced to do it...
I saw this post by @musette22 and I just couldnât help quickly putting those pictures together because Steve and Bucky deserve a night out just to be pretty and happy and I NEED THIS SOFTNESS.

âOne of the things you may have noticed during the season of #thefalconandthewintersoldier was Buckyâs reluctance to use guns and knives. This was a conscious choice to illustrate Buckyâs journey away from being the Winter Soldier. So when @davemacomber came to me and told me about this idea for a knife fight, I loved it instantly. We referred to this fight as âyou canât dethrone the kingâ. If you take note Bucky uses the back unsharp side of the tanto as he traps and parries the attacks, even throwing the knife next to Diegoâs head as a statement âdonât make me cross that lineâ. This is one of my favorite fights, not only because of the context but also because what youâre seeing there is almost 100% @imsebastianstan and he nailed it! Super proud of the work he put into it and for the record he did nail the knife flip on the first take.â

Iâve seen this post about Bucky finally meeting his sister Rebecca after IW and  here it is.
