Kim Myungsoo returned to Malaysia with an evening that lived up to its name, as 2026 KIM MYUNGSOO (L) FAN-CON ASIA TOUR [UNCHANGED] celebrated the enduring bond between the artist and the fans who have stood by him through the years. Held at Mega Star Arena, the fan-con blended heartfelt performances, candid conversations, and memorable fan interactions into a night that felt less like a traditional concert and more like a heartfelt reunion.

Opening with "Way You Are," "One Third (1/3)," and "One More Time," Kim Myungsoo immediately set a warm and inviting atmosphere, showcasing both his gentle vocals and effortless stage presence. Throughout the evening, the performances were interwoven with games, talk segments, and relaxed conversations that allowed fans to see a more personal side of the singer-actor, reinforcing the fan-con's central message that while time may pass, the connection between artist and fans remains unchanged.

One of the night's biggest surprises came with the performance of "Stay Close," an unreleased song created exclusively for the UNCHANGED fan-con tour. The heartfelt track added an extra layer of meaning to the evening, giving Malaysian fans the rare opportunity to experience brand-new music before its official release. It served as a special gift from Kim Myungsoo to those who had gathered to share the journey with him, making the performance one of the most memorable moments of the night.

The fan-con became even more intimate when Kim Myungsoo stepped off the stage and into the audience for three consecutive songs—"Memory," "The Night That I Miss You," and "Love U Like U." Walking through the aisles, greeting fans from just inches away, and singing directly to those around him, he effortlessly dissolved the distance between performer and audience. Rather than simply watching from their seats, fans became part of the performance itself, creating a series of unforgettable moments that perfectly reflected the spirit of UNCHANGED.

Another emotional highlight arrived during the commemorative group photo. As Kim Myungsoo invited everyone to pose, fans surprised him by beginning their planned fan project instead, filling the venue with a heartfelt song rather than looking toward the camera. Smiling at the unexpected gesture, he gently asked everyone to save the surprise for a moment so they could take the photo first, promising that he would listen afterwards.

Beyond the music, playful segments such as quizzes, games, and candid conversations kept the atmosphere light throughout the evening, allowing Kim Myungsoo's sincere and approachable personality to shine. Kuala Lumpur became one of the first cities in the world to step inside Lay Zhang’s new era as the Chinese singer, dancer, producer, and actor brought the Lay Zhang Global Listening Event to Malaysia on 27 June 2026. Held at Unifi Arena, Bukit Jalil, the showcase served as one of the earliest international presentations of his upcoming album "Flawed Crown," transforming what could have been a conventional listening session into an immersive, arena-scale experience.

Rather than simply previewing new music, the event was designed as a theatrical introduction to the world of "Flawed Crown." Concert-level staging, cinematic visuals, and specially prepared performance segments guided fans through the album’s concept and artistic direction, creating the feeling of witnessing the opening chapter of a major new project. In a greeting video shown during the event, Lay described Kuala Lumpur as one of the earliest stops introducing the vision behind "Flawed Crown" to audiences around the world.

The showcase unfolded as a carefully curated musical journey through both Lay's past and future. The first half blended previews from Flawed Crown with performances of tracks including "Again," "Living," "Smoke and Mirrors," and "Crossfire," before transitioning into fan favourites such as "Psychic," "Would U Be Mine," and "Run Back to You." The energy then shifted into a high-octane EDM section featuring "Step," "Sucker," "Let's Shut Up & Dance," "Sheep," and a special "SHUFFLE" performance, showcasing the diverse musical palette that has become synonymous with Lay's artistry.

One of the night's defining highlights was the ambitious stage production, which was complemented by a series of exclusive visual premieres. Throughout the showcase, fans were treated to first looks at music videos including Nao Tian Gong, Dou Zhan Sheng Fo, and the closing reveal of Call My Name, further expanding the cinematic world of Flawed Crown.

After years of anticipation, XIA (Kim Junsu) finally returned to Malaysia with 2026 XIA 6TH ASIA TOUR CONCERT ‘GRAVITY’, delivering an evening that blended powerhouse vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and nostalgic moments at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. More than just a concert, the long-awaited reunion celebrated the enduring bond between XIA and the fans who have supported him throughout every chapter of his career.

From the very beginning, XIA made Malaysian fans feel right at home by sharing his affection for the country. He revealed that Malaysian mangoes are among the sweetest he has ever tasted and surprised the audience by admitting his love for durian despite its famously strong aroma. Having previously visited Kota Kinabalu, he expressed his hope to return to Malaysia more often, earning warm cheers from the crowd.

One of the evening's biggest highlights came during the beloved "Genie Time" segment, where XIA granted three wishes submitted by fans. The interactive session quickly turned into a celebration of his remarkable career, as he surprised the audience with nostalgic performances of TVXQ classics "Tonight" and "Always There…", before sending the venue into a frenzy with an iconic dance performance of "Mirotic." Few artists have maintained the consistency, longevity, and vocal excellence that Yang Yoseop has displayed throughout his career. From his debut as a member of HIGHLIGHT and BEAST to his acclaimed work as a soloist, Yang Yoseop has earned a reputation as one of K-pop's most respected vocalists, captivating audiences with both technical precision and heartfelt emotion.

Ahead of his upcoming solo concert in Singapore this July, MY K-POP WIRE caught up with Yang Yoseop to discuss his enduring passion for performing, the lessons he has learned through the years, memorable experiences with Singapore fans, and the mindset that continues to drive him every time he steps onto the stage.

Q. It’s always special when you get to meet fans overseas. As you prepare to return to Singapore this July, what are you looking forward to the most?

What I'm looking forward to the most... has to be the roar of the crowd. The energy and cheers that fans unleash at the venue are always my greatest source of strength.

Q. Without giving away too many spoilers, is there a particular part of the Singapore concert that you're especially excited for fans to experience?

Since this is my first solo concert in Singapore, won't every single stage be a completely new experience for the fans from start to finish? Even though we speak different languages, I'm practicing hard to make sure my emotions resonate fully with the audience, so I hope everyone listens to the album a lot before coming to the show!

Q. Your voice has long been admired for both technique and emotion. Looking back on your journey so far, what part of your growth as a singer feels the most meaningful to you?

There were plenty of times my voice cracked on stage, which used to really startle me internally. To be honest, it still happens from time to time even now, but I think I'm able to handle it much more casually than before. Rather than learning a specific trick to cope with it, I think getting older has just naturally given me more peace of mind and composure.

Q. Are there songs from your earlier years that feel completely different to sing now compared to when you first performed them?

'The Last Cold' (꽃샘). I wrote that song while serving on guard duty during my military service. It was a really tough, freezing cold time back then, and I think those raw emotions were poured directly into the track. But performing it now, it feels like a song sung by someone who successfully made it through that difficult period. It leaves me with a stronger sense of appreciation, like, 'Wow, I really overcame that.

Q. After all these years of performing, what still gives you that same excitement right before going on stage?

I think it mostly comes down to approaching every single stage with the mindset of giving my absolute best. For some people in the audience, it might be their very first time seeing me, while for others, it could unfortunately be their last. Knowing that I have this one opportunity to show them my performance, I feel a responsibility to leave everything on the stage. That's why I give 100% every single time.

Q. Over the years, is there a fan interaction or concert memory that still comes back to you and makes you smile?

Way back before our very first Asia tour as BEAST, I remember visiting Singapore for promotions. The fans turned out in droves at the airport to welcome us, and that wonderful memory still sticks with me. I think that's why whenever we perform in Singapore, the energy and cheers from the fans feel even more passionate.

Q. When you think of Singapore, what's the first thing that comes to mind—and is there any local food or place you'd love to revisit while you're here?

The clean streets, the beautiful warm weather, and the incredible, passionate energy of our B2UTY and LIGHT.

Q. Finally, do you have a message for fans in Singapore who are counting down the days until they see you this July?

Since this is my first solo concert in Singapore, every stage will be a brand-new experience for the audience. I'm practicing hard to deliver the absolute best performance possible, so make sure to listen to the songs a lot before coming! :)

After seven long years, EXO finally returned to Malaysia with their sixth world tour, EXO PLANET #6 – EXhOrizon in Kuala Lumpur, proving that time has done little to diminish the group's star power. Featuring Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun, the concert marked a long-awaited reunion between EXO and Malaysian EXO-Ls, who filled the venue in shimmering gold and turned the night into a celebration years in the making.

Park Ji Hoon treated MAY to a night of unforgettable performances and fun-filled interactions during his long-awaited return to Kuala Lumpur on 6 June. Held at KLCC Plenary Hall, the fan concert opened with "Blank Effect", "Serious", and "GOTCHA", instantly energising the crowd and setting the tone for an exciting evening.

A special segment with the MC saw Park Ji Hoon revisiting three of his drama characters through a series of fun missions designed to help MAY relive memorable moments from his acting journey. The interactive activities drew plenty of laughter and cheers from the audience, while his playful reactions kept the atmosphere lively throughout. He later earned a warm response when he wrote "Saya Sayang Awak" on a sketch pad, delighting everyone in attendance.

The evening continued with performances of "Body Else" and "Watercolor", giving fans the chance to experience different sides of his artistry. Five lucky attendees also walked away with exclusive polaroids of the star during a special lucky draw segment before he returned with energetic stages of "NITRO", "MATADOR", "360", and "새벽달 (Dawn Moon)".

On May 31, the 2026 AsiaTop Music Festival, presented by Hong Leong Bank, held its second and final day of spectacular music celebration at the Sepang International Circuit in Selangor, Malaysia, drawing the event to a perfect close. Co-organized by JOOX and QQ Music under Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), the festival featured another dazzling lineup on day two. Headlined by CxM (Seventeen) and TWS, the second day brought together eight top acts: K-pop powerhouses 82MAJOR, CRAVITY and STAYC, Malaysian vocalists Uriah See and Firdhaus, and Thai idol Butterbear. Over two days, the festival drew nearly 50,000 fans, solidifying its status as one of the largest and most influential music events in Asia in 2026.

Building on the electrifying energy of day one, the stage delivered nonstop standout performances. The star-studded lineup also featured top K‑pop acts NMIXX and WINNER, Thai superstar Win Metawin, Malaysian vocal powerhouse Aina Abdul, Malaysian music producer Belle Sisoski, and rising rookie group NexT1DE. Blending diverse musical styles with powerful vocal performances, the festival delivered a world-class audio-visual spectacle where heartbeats and melodies resonated as one.

AsiaTop Music Festival finally arrived in town, lighting up the weekend with an exciting Day 1 packed with diverse international acts, strong local representation, and nonstop energy from start to finish. The opening night brought together performers from multiple countries, each delivering their own unique sound, style, and stage presence to a fully engaged crowd and setting the tone for a memorable festival weekend.

The stage opened with NexT1DE , a boy group from Thailand, who immediately energized the crowd with a bright and lively performance. They performed “Take It Easy” and “Always With You,” showcasing smooth vocals and strong group chemistry. Their set continued with “Still Here,” maintaining the momentum and drawing the audience deeper into the festival atmosphere. They wrapped up their performance on a high note, leaving the stage perfectly warmed up for what was next.

Right after them, local powerhouse Aina Abdul took over with commanding stage presence. She opened with “Imaji,” instantly highlighting her powerful vocal ability. She followed with “Fool,” delivering emotional depth and control before transitioning into a bossa nova-inspired rendition of “Berjauhan,” which added a softer and more artistic contrast to her set. Her performance stood out as one of the strongest local highlights of the night.

The energy shifted again as Belle Sisoski stepped onto the stage with her signature live electronic performance. Known as a live artist, producer, composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ, she delivered a one-woman set blending ethnic instruments, cinematic textures, and electronic soundscapes. The performance created an immersive flow that kept the crowd engaged through rhythmic builds and atmospheric transitions, adding a distinctive sonic layer to the festival lineup.

Next came Win Metawin, who brought a playful and engaging energy to the stage. His set featured a mix of performances and fan interaction that kept the audience entertained throughout. At one point, he cheekily tossed a towel into the crowd, sparking loud reactions and excitement from fans. The set balanced charm, humor, and steady stage presence, making it one of the lighter but memorable moments of the night.

Following him, NMIXX delivered a high-energy performance filled with sharp choreography and strong live vocals. They opened with an intro segment before moving into the main set, with fans singing along throughout. The crowd’s energy peaked as cheers for an encore rang out mid-performance. Emotional moments resonated through the venue as fans echoed lyrics back to the group, creating a powerful connection between artist and audience.

Daesung took the stage as the second-last performer of the night, bringing a wave of nostalgia and vocal strength. He immediately captivated the crowd with his warm presence and emotional delivery. His set featured fan-favourite tracks that highlighted his signature vocal tone, drawing loud cheers and steady audience engagement. The performance served as a powerful lead-in to the night’s final act.

Closing Day 1 as one of the headliners, Kun delivered a commanding and memorable finale. He took full control of the stage with confidence, dynamic production, and strong crowd interaction. Fans stayed fully engaged, singing and cheering throughout his set as he brought the opening day of AsiaTop Music Festival to an impactful close—leaving the audience energized and eager for what the rest of the weekend would bring.

This leg of the tour is part of a global schedule covering Asia and South America. The world tour launched with a successful two-night show at Jangchung Arena in Seoul, South Korea on 16 and 17 May, drawing strong fan turnout and setting the stage for an electrifying international run.
