we realised that we have been on this app for a while with no actual intro, so...hi, it is nice to meet you, please call us strangeness coven. we are fine with being collectively referred to by anything other than he or she. we are a plural system, but we are not comfortable tagging which one of us is fronting or introducing ourselves.

I've never heard that in my life and I consider myself to be pretty well versed in system knowledge, super curious if it's just a word salad for fun or if it's a new term I didn't know about.

thank you for asking, wei really enjoy answering questions about ourselves! basically, wei are using multiple terms to describe the complex circumstances that are part of why wei are plural, so sort of a mix of what you were saying but leaning towards "semi-word salad created since theres no individual word for this complex experience". wei will be doing a lot of clarifying and defining the way wei use each term just because wei feel like it helps to set a better foundation for how wei are using them even if the terms are already known.

neurogenic describes the fact that our brain is just very naturally plural as a part of how it works, wei've considered using protogenic for that reason but wei don't know how long wei were plural, just that wei would have been plural no matter what because our neurotype naturally is that way and feel that that is more important to our origins than how long wei were typically plural so it fits us way better.

wei use traumaendo as a combination of traumagenic and endogenic to describe the multiple factors that affected how our plurality kind of more fully came into being while wei were realizing our plurality and the things that caused our system structure to be how it is during and before that syscovery period, because wei don't quite feel they can be separated and there are a lot of things that really don't fit either category or fit both at once that were formative in this regard.

the endogenic part is mainly of course for the more pleasant experiences, our neurogenic nature, etc. but wei also consider us being adaptive (meaning system structure formed in a way that helped adapt to something or was supposed to) in a positive way part of this because despite it forming as a reaction to some very unpleasant things it was the reaction that happened and helps us so much because of very pleasant parts of how wei think and work and overall is an extremely functional, positive part of our system formation and daily plural experience to us, and for that reason wei actually only add it in intros wei'd show to people wei already know like simplyplural, because adaptive is usually associated with traumagenic origins or aspects of origins, and while as wei said that is part of why wei are adaptive, wei don't really feel like that fits how wei personally experience it.

and then the traumagenic part of the equation fits closer to the opposite end of that spectrum of experiences: the more unpleasant stuff basically.
