Julian: Really, really fond of the embrace-like nature of the process of being tied. He loves surrendering to being moved, swayed, manhandled, and manipulated. He’s particularly fond of being tied in a way that alternates between slow sensuality and sudden, unexpected force. Lull him and then overpower him, take him out of his own center of balance and leave him reliant on his rigger’s supporting arms.

Dense, compressing rope that pulls his arms in against his chest and binds his legs together is soothing; exposing and open poses leave him feeling very submissive and wonderfully at the mercy of whoever’s tying him. He’s the kind of rope bottom who gets all quiet and pliant the moment his arms are immobilised - armbinders are a particular favourite, whether in front or behind. Once bound, give him time to sink into it and you will have a man thoroughly drifting in ropespace.

The more vulnerable the pose, the more it’s something he’s into erotically - chest and throat exposed, legs open, that sort of thing. Arms pulled up over his head so his entire body is undefended to touch is a favourite. He’d definitely be into suspensions, given the opportunity, but probably best prefers partials where he’s mostly on the floor and so more keenly able to feel how the rope and his rigger is holding his bodyweight. Also how easily he can be set off-balance and feel how wholly he relies on being held from the outside. How futile it would be to try to be the one who controls how he’s touched. How they could do whatever they liked to him.

Meanwhile, if he’s squished into a little ball and given lots of pressure, that’s just something that deletes all his tension and makes him feel very safe and melty. Autistic wizard is not immune to assisted pressure stim.

Pepper: I can see her being an elaborate decorative self-tier if a hyperfixated crafty phase took her. However, her her self-ties would be entirely an accessory rather than anything particularly functional - complicated weaves, pretty karadas, embellished and in all manner of pretty colours! Aesthetics over sensations - rope dresses, rope corsets, arm or leg bracers woven just so to show off her scales. With her mind for engineering and patterns, she could sink hours into accessory rope the way she can sink them into her crafting.

More *functional* bondage is something someone else would apply to her, rather than her applying it to herself. Pepper’s never been particularly skilled at making herself wait, and it’s one of the ways to ensure the ability to let anticipation grow. As such, it’s best to blindfold her, too. She’s not too much of an eel or active escape artist, but she absolutely is a wiggler - Pepper in rope is impatient, and the point of the rope is to make her stay put and wait nicely!

She doesn’t like being scrunched inwards for long stretches (she finds it boring, and also is too anti-wiggling of a posture, if she can’t move around she gets Bad Antsy) and certainly does not get Julian’s quiet mind! She’d prefer a TK type harness with arms behind her back, both legs bound thigh-to-calf. Pepper likes bedroom bondage, not restrictive rope for rope’s sake.

(Although, I do think she'd find it fun to be tied and cuddled and wiggled, but she'd want to be let out so she could do it back. XD)

Lucienne:

Now, Lucienne’s more of a rigger herself, relishing the process of producing shapes and observing reactions. Loves to put their rope bottoms in a predicament, if they’re amenable to that kind of thing, and savour watching the resultant struggle. Pretty but challenging harnesses, twisty partial suspensions - Lucienne, given their way, enjoys playing with that edge between pleasure and strain. It’s all about finding the right place to balance someone there. Pain, too, if the bottom's into that.

Rope can also just be an extension of their general sensualism - this is why Julian pairs with her so well. The rope is just another way to touch, and another way to create sensations. The process of the tying itself is the play. Between the rope and a spare Mage Hand, Lucienne's well aware they can elicit the feeling of being surrounded and touched from all sides, exposing and exploring.

If Lucienne is being tied, they want to be an artwork, ideally. Some beautiful suspended torsion or complex transition sequence where they'll be gorgeous to behold and it will be impressive to have sustained it. I don't think Lucienne likes combining rope and sex as the bottom, I think the rope itself is scene enough by itself. In essence, the ideal rigger for Lucienne would be another Lucienne, haha.

Katja

While not a rigger in a traditional sense, Katja would have SO much fun performing a takedown/capture scene involving rough hogtying or otherwise restraining someone who's giving her as much resistance as possible. The Wranglerrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's enrichment. It'd 100% just be a precursor to regular Katja fuck time though, she's not one to linger on the process, the point is that she has Got you now, ohohohoho!!!

Katja would let herself get tied up for fun but I would recommend that anyone trying this doesn't, like, use expensive rope. It's not gonna last. The part she enjoys is the fact it simply is not going to hold her. (I don't think she'd like it AT ALL if she were restrained in an effective fashion, actually.)
