I saw someone else do this. Im stealing it
Spoilers ahed for Skybounds Transformers run
Snickets top 20 favorite comic characters!!!
Listing Villains, Heroes, and all of the Above In this list. If it was favorite characters in general it would be longer. Even if the characters are low. I still love them
#20 Mysterio
I love trickster villains and Mysterio is the Epitome of trickster villains besides Loki of course. But Mysterio has an aura of Coolness and Swagger That a majority of Marvel, especially Spider-man villains don't have.
#19 Remy LeBeau
I'm not the biggest X-Men Fan. But every time I absorb a piece of media with them in it, I'm drawn towards Gambit. He's just so fucking cool. Forgive my French. But Gambit just seems Rad. I would love to read more about him and Rogue.
#18 Darkhawk
This Fucker is so 1991 I love him. I just think he's cool, to be honest. Like there's no extra deep reason. He just goes hard. He's one of my favorite nineties characters.
#17 Spike Witwicky (Skybound)
Spike is such an interesting character to me. He represents the perfect opposite of the other main human character and His Bot friend. Beachcomber is a pacifist and while Spike Understands his position Spike also knows that you should fight for family
#16 Starscream
What happens when a person screams at the stars. When will the stars scream back. That is what drives Starscream to do what he does in skybound. He wants to be known for something. Whether that be as a Rebellious leader. Or a Destructive demon. He will always be screaming at the stars to notice him
#15 Shrinking Rae
Tbf, it is completely the show's characterization of her. I think The comics Fridged Ray for Rexes Development and the fact that the show swapped the dichotomy and still kept Rexes Development was perfect.
#14 Steve Rogers
Listen I love Steve. He's amazing. He's a perfect representation of what America SHOULD BE. He's a wonderfully politically charged character and should be used to talk about more political issues! My favorite variant is in Deniz Camps The Ultimates run
#13 Carly (Skybound)
The Other human character in Skybound. Carly is an angry Teenage Girl. And it shows. What else would pull a fucking bazooka on a Decepticon? I love her relationship with her and Arcee. Arcee acts as a sort of guide to Carly. Trying to focus her rage
#12 Johnathan Lowell Spencer Storm
Johnny is very special to me. He was one Of the first Characters I was Attached To. And he will always be special to me. I truly love him. But currently there are characters I like more. And that mustache(while I love it) takes points away
#11 Optimus Prime(Skybound)
Optimus Prime makes me cry so hard. He's a soldier who's damaged beyond repair but instead of letting his Trauma and depression take control. He fights. For his family. His loved ones. He's more than a general. He's a father who's lost everything and is trying to save the family he has left
#10 Tony Stark
Tony gets too much hate in my opinion. He's a good person who tries his hardest to do what he thinks is the best for the world. Now it's not always the best. But he tries I can say that about him and not others. Hes a man challenged by the world that surrounds him. he constantly Challenged morally by the other heroes in Marvel
#9 Mark Grayson
Invincible is genuinely one of my favorite pieces of media. Mark is a large part of that enjoyment. As a protagonist, I genuinely see his point compared to other characters. He wants to try his hardest to save his world while keeping his morals
#8 Diana Prince
Mommy. She's one of the most important fictional characters ever. Of course, she's this high. I think a lot of people misunderstand her as the “Sex Appeal” and the Girl of the group when she's so much more than that
#7 Janet Van Dyne
The most important Avenger. Her husbands an opp but she is amazing. Mother of my favorite comic villain of all time. Janet is genuinely the more interesting of the Wasp and Ant-Man duo. And not just because I'm ultron stan
#6 Clark Kent
He's Fuckin Superman
#5 Soundwave
The most loyal character that isn't Optimus Prime. Soundwave is a true believer in the Decepticon cause of freedom, unlike his contemporaries. Starscream is a backstabbing liar, Megatron often has challenges of faith, and Shockwave. Soundwave's love of his species though causes him to believe that he should help Autobots At times…
#4 Ultron
One of the most human characters in Marvel is a human-hating robot. Ultron is an angry child who wants to be loved. He was Meant to Heal the world. Save Organic life but he saw it fit to destroy Humans because they caused the most destruction to the world. And that logic caused the one man he wanted respect from to hate him. The one man he loved more than anything. Turned to the one thing he hated the most. Ultron is an angel with snipped wings. They want to soar but don't have the body to fly.
#3 Jean-Paul Valley Jr.
The Angel of Vengeance, The Fist of God, The Flaming Sword of Dumas, The Batman, Azrael.
Jean-Paul Is one of my favorite characters of all time. He’s genuinely one of the most interesting people in comics. The fact he's a Discussion on religious Trauma that doesn't feel forced is amazing. He feels like a character who genuinely does exist in the world of Gotham. A brainwashed soldier of the lord he brings his righteous judgment on Gotham. The iconography of him being a flaming angel is so genuinely interesting to me. Bright and Beautiful. But a destructive force of nature that cannot be undone
#2 Jaime Reyes
Jaime is one of the most important characters to me. He was an introduction to one of the most interesting aspects of comics. He introduced me to sci-fi characters in comics. And as a hero, he has some of the most interesting powers I've seen. He helped me find out about techno-organic powers. Which are always so interesting to me
#1 Spider-Man
Peter Benjamin Parker, Miles Gonzalo Morales, Miguel O’Hara, Peni Parker, Hobart Brown. It doesn't matter who wears the mask, that's the point of the mask. You don't know who is saving you besides the fact that it's Spider-Man. Spider-man made me want to be a better person. SM is the representation of what a real hero should be. Unbreakable. No matter what. You could shoot, stab, break, slander, poison, trick, lie, ruin Spider-man. And the hero will always stand back up. Because that's their great responsibility.
Spider-Man stands as the paragon of good in the world of Marvel. He is the hero everyone looks up to. Because he has never backed down. He is relentless in his heroism. He is the Hero of Heroes. Spider-Man is what a hero should be.
