The Energon Universe 2026 San Diego Comic Con panel is in the books
And coupled with other panels during the convention, it's a case of a lot of news, but because it's not about certain items, it will feel to some like it's a bit of a wait till New York Comic Con in October, and hopefully more news there.
Alright, let's get what WASN'T discussed out of the way. Zero news on the Energon Universe show (although some suspect the new post-credits sequence for the re-release of Transformers: The Movie might be our first look) and zero news on whether Kirkman is leaving Transformers after Issue 37. While we'll definitely get more news on the latter at NYCC, the former remains a white whale, as to when or even if the show was able to secure a buyer.
OK, now let's talk about what was announced, starting with toy news:

I'm thinking of skybound megatron and all i can think is 'this is who the people who say they punch metal lockers for fun think they are'
[ID: Letter answerer text, from the Transformers skybound #34 letters page, written by Robert Kirkman: None of the characters in #32 actually died. So we’ll be seeing them ALL again. Don’t you worry. The whole point of that issue was to show that Shockwave actually has ROBUST forces in Cybertron, as prior to that issue, we’d only seen Shockwave, Ratbat and Thrust. All other Decepticons on Cybertron had been abruptly killed!. ID End]
See? Not dead
[ID: Sender text: looks like I was wrong! I can’t wait to see everyone’s motivations for picking the sides they picked…but especially Jazz, because he’s one of my favorites.
Letter answerer text (Robert Kirkman): Be on the lookout for issue #37! ID End]
