as a regular donor to Gaza Soup Kitchen I get their email updates, and they said today that while they've continued to be able to expand, donations are slowing down as Gaza gets less coverage. My mind is unable to comprehend any ugliness that has made our tragedy an ordinary detail of your day. There is bombardment alternating between morning and evening, hunger that devours bodies, and destruction that swallows our dreams and our lives under the dirt, without the world even blinking an eyelid. So how did our blood shed on you, to become mere deaf numbers circulated in bulletins? Resist the dullness of this dead conscience and wake up.. Gaza is being annihilated in reality, not metaphorically!

since the yearly "certain medications can cause heat intolerance" PSAs are out in full force, let us fondly remember last year when I was at Pennsic (big ass medieval recreation event) and our group was tearing down our giant tent lodge we use for our kitchen and dining hall. and there's a part at the very end where the roof is sort of on the ground, but still tented on a pole in the middle. and someone has to go under there to unhook the roof from the pole. but it's hot as fuck in that part since it's been baking in the sun for two weeks, so it's called "Satan's asshole". which resulted in somebody VERY solemnly telling me, "going into Satan's asshole is NOT a job for somebody on SSRIs"

Can we not organize a training course to teach students in Gaza how to pass English language exams? Is it simply because we cannot raise a mere $300? It is heartbreaking; students are waiting for this course, yet we are forced to delay it due to a lack of sufficient funding. While three students have already been sponsored, seventeen remain on the waiting list. To sponsor a student, you need only contribute $10 for Gaza—a small amount, yet one that makes a real difference in a student's life.
