Now that I have the deltarune communities attention (I got more then 10 likes, the power has gone to my head), I would like to suggest something for the artists drawing yellow as a cow-boy. I love that we’re doing Hereford horns. Great, amazing, easy to draw. But may I suggest two other options.
1. Longhorn horns. I know I know, it deviates from the design. HOWEVER. Please imagine for a moment, long strings of blue flowers draped over them. And furthermore, I will also suggest another Blellow song, being of course “Yellow Rose of Texas” (my favorite version is the Elvis one)
2. American Bucking Bull Horns. Yes, the American bucking Bull is a breed. Specifically ones with the silver dollar end. I just think it’s nice to tie him closer to rodeo becouse of his whole personality
Bushwhacker for reference. Of course, please take this with a grain of salt, I enjoy the arts nonetheless, I simply wish to suggest more ideas (like how I also suggest that we have corgi yellow [fun fact, corgis were bred for cattle herding.])

I’m pretty sure all the blellow shippers would go insane over Aaron Copland. He’s got the Rodeo Ballet which A. Scratches the brain. And B. I think fits their vibe perfectly.
You know that whole "A Spider-Man that doesn't make jokes is a dangerous Spider-Man" argument? I have something similar for DC.
A silent Hal Jordan is the most lethal one.
He is tired and in pain 99% of the time and he still has it in him to be a little shit, crack a couple of jokes, be as loudly defiant and annoying as he can possibly be, because that's just how he is.
Which is why if you do something and Hal doesn't have anything witty or corny or slightly flirty to say, you better shut up and quietly surrender, or things will get ugly. Like, "Break the no kill rule of the ring trough sheer willpower in order to absolutely disintegrate you from existence" type of ugly.
Because a silent Hal is one bursting with green energy from every pore, one with eyes glowing under the mask and green veins bulging under thin skin, theeth clenched to the point of breaking and blood running down his mouth from how hard he bit his tongue. It's an Hal at the very end of the rope, so full of rightful fury that it strips him of words. It's an Hal waiting for you to give him one last reason, like a predator about to pounce. One wrong step and you'll find yourself with a crater in your chest before you can even breathe.
It's such a rare occurance, to see him like this, because that's what his constant jokes and stupid puns are for, to hide his anger and pain, to keep a grip on them the same way you would keep a dangerous dog on a leash. He has that much control over himself, even if no one else recognize it.
But the moment he stops talking? it's because that control is willingly being thrown out of a window. Years of pent up frustration, anger, helplessness and pain are about to be unleashed through the most powerful weapon in the universe, and no one will survive it.
Beware of a silent Hal Jordan, for that's probably gonna be the last thing you'll ever see.
I’ve been pressure cooking in a fascinating pot of heavy HEAVY midwestern accents for the past ohhhh 2ish weeks now and yall. the blorbo brain has fired and I now firmly believe that Clark Kent Superman has a crazyyyy midwestern accent. His accent is NOT Trans-Atlantic or American-neutral or whatever the Metropolis accent is. The man grew up in rural Kansas on a god damn farm. his accent is just short of Diabolical. Lois City Girl Lane thinks it’s The funniest shit ever. Sometimes Superman gets stressed and the drawl slips through and people lose their damn minds trying to figure out why an alien has a rural American Midwest accent. what happened. did he watch a lot of,,,, midwest tv (????) when he got here ? did he absorb english from the first farmer he saw. do kryptonians have a midwest accent when they speak english? the people need to know, clark.

Excuse me sir I would like to request some more Sleeveless ODSTs please
I love your responses and artworks, they bring me so much joy when I see them
One order of sleeveless ODSTs coming up o7
And thank YOU ×1000!! I like making silly art pieces about the characters I love and when other people get to enjoy them with me, it makes it worth the effort
Hal Jordan isn't just some Top Gun-esque character actually.
He believes all living creatures deserve dignity and freedom. He mentored maybe tens of hundreds of Green Lanterns and gets super excited when they do something incredible. He loves his nieces and nephews so much. He calls his friends "brothers" and "family" and does everything in his power to mean it. He makes silly light constructs to calm the kids he rescues. He talks about Earth and humanity like it's all so beautiful and worth returning to the ground for despite the skies being symbolic of his freedom. He refers to alien creatures as "buddy" and "pals" because he recognizes they have thoughts and their existence is also a miracle in a vast universe like his very own. He carries so much blame on himself for circumstances beyond his control because it physically pains him to think that being the best isn't good enough to save everyone he loved.
I need people to stop watering down Hal 😭
LIKE YEAH he's a cool person and honestly a little pathetic, but when you boil him down to his core tenents as a character, he's just a kid who wants to feel alive in his own body and he's dedicated the rest of his life to allowing people the same luxury
The thought of Hal having the perfect potential to be a dictator is funny to me because, to be a perfect dictator, you have to make others believe you are, in fact, not.
Hal is not a "dictator", he is a "leader".
He is pursuing what he believes is right; the others just agree with him, and they choose to follow him.
Intelligent. Brave. Determined. Inspiring.
Simply being in his presence fuels you with the desire to contribute something, anything to his cause, which is everyone's happiness.
He is good; he is benevolent to everyone. So kind. Be sure to be grateful. Be sure to stay on his good side.
He can be strict, but understandably so, because he is only strict to those who would cause harm to everyone. He does not want to punish anyone; others simply force his hands.
He is not 'controlling' others; he is 'influencing' them to do the right thing for the greater cause.
He is not a 'king'. He is a charming womanizer. He is a soldier who would suffer for his loved ones. He is a dreamer at heart who likes to gaze at stars. He is one of the people; he is not a king, no, he would never be.
He is not cruel. He likes dogs. He likes airplanes. He can be clumsy. He often overlooks small details, but it is all right. Everyone has flaws. That is what his 'friends' are for, right? To help him with his flaws. To be there when he needs help. To lend a shoulder, an ear, a hand to lessen the burden on his shoulders.
Such a poor soul. All he wants is to be free, but he is too kind, too devoted; therefore, he is stuck down here with the people to help, to inspire, to serve.
And what if others suffer? They are simply unlucky ones. Unlucky, foolish ones. They do not understand Hal Jordan. They cannot see how much Hal Jordan is suffering for their cause. And what if there are mistakes? Hal Jordan is just a man, after all, a man who is trying his best. Those who oppose him are just ungrateful, greedy fools.
Jesus gave the poor, the tortured, the outcast bread and wine, didn't he? But there were still fools who doubted him, weren't there?
And isn't it a dreadful but necessary duty to find and kill Judas before his betrayal?
Bruce, on the other hand, would suck ass at being a dictator like that man would end up sending everyone around him to Gotham's version of Gulag out of doubt; it would be a Stalin situation right there. He himself knows that sh. And he's scared of Hal Jordan turning evil because he also knows Hal would make a perfect dictator.

Could you do "thank you for choosing me to be your dad." And "thank you for being my dad."
"Thank you for choosing me to be your dad."/"Thank you for being my dad." You know what I'm soft for? Hal Jordan being a good dad.
***
Hal was a failure when it came to his kid. He paraded around like he knew what it meant to be a good dad, showing off pictures of them, bragging about them—especially in front of Bruce, but the truth is, when Martin died, so did any future of Harold Jordan becoming a parent. Or at least a good dad.
It wasn’t like he was one hundred percent sure the kid was his own. They’d shown up on his doorstep one night with a letter from their mom, explaining they were the product of a one night stand he’d had years ago. A six-year-old kid, alone in the middle of Coast City, abandoned by their only parent they’d known.
He didn’t sleep a wink that night, calling everyone he knew about what you did with a kid. Barry had ended up coming over to help him. The kid loved his best friend. Took to Barry like a fish to water, even calling them Uncle Barry before the night was over and the two men had tucked them in on the couch, cuddled in blankets and speed run stuffed animals of all kinds.
Do you even know who the mother is, Hal?
No clue. All they left was the letter. I…Barry, what am I supposed to do? I can’t raise a kid.
I don’t think you have a choice, Hal. His friend had leveled him with a strong look. That kid needs you.
Turns out, Hal needed them too. They spent the first few months getting used to each other. Hal bought them everything he thought they needed, probably a little too much, but they never asked for anything. Sometimes they asked for hugs or kisses on their head; Hal couldn’t help but feel weak to those.
But that nagging came back after a year or so. He wasn’t there for them when they needed him. He tried to be. Tried to attend all the school performances and PTC’s. But the Corps needed him too and Hal was sure his kid spent more time in his neighbor’s house than they did in his.
One night, they came into his bedroom at two o’clock, and Hal only realized it because they’d woken him up when they’d pressed themselves to his back, pulling the covers up to their chest.
“You okay, kid?” Hal called them ‘kid’. It made him feel like his father.
“Yeah,” they murmured. “I had a bad dream.”
“What about?”
“You died somewhere up there in space.” Their hands tightened in his shirt. “You left me all alone…none of the other Lanterns wanted to look after me.”
That hurt him more than he ever wanted to admit it did. Guy, John, and Kyle loved his kid. Their were the honorary uncles and spent more time arguing which set of shoulders the kid got to sit on whenever they were around. They wanted to sit on Guy’s shoulders and hold John and Kyle’s hands. Hal had the pictures to prove it, and everyone had one.
Hal frowned and turned over, pulling them into his arms like his mom used to do when he crawled into her bed after his dad died. “I’m not going anywhere, kid,” he whispered, kissing their head. “I’ll never, ever, leave you alone. I promise.”
They stayed silent for a few moments and Hal thought they’d drifted off when they said, “You think you’re a bad dad, don’t you?”
He sighed. “I don’t think I’m a bad one…but I know I’m not a great one.”
The kid thought for a moment. “You’re a great one to me, dad.” They said, turning in his arms to hug him.
Hal’s eyes filled with tears, but he choked them back, hugging them tightly. “Thanks for choosing me to be your dad, kid.”
They smiled. “Thanks for being my dad, dad.”
Hal was many things—but he wasn’t a failed father.
hal and carol will get married just so they can get divorced and start calling each other their ex spouse. they invite more people to their divorce party than to their wedding and that's more because people just didn't want to go to their wedding
