These are just some concepts, what ifs if i may say.

In the first one, during the creation of this new nymph, Polokus was unable to let go of his past, so, his bitterness, feeling and coldness become part of the new creation, thus, creating Algrid Flake (Yes, shes a villan but not a nightmare creature)

In the second one, something went really wrong durnig the creation of this new nymph, Polokus' nightmares got in the way, making her a nightmare creature. Although, shes not evil or a villan, but can be really true and direct with her words.
