Or at least, try.

 You were dirty, cold, and hungry. Your once pristine clothing, a creation of The Dolorosa, were now ragged and torn. You had tried to brush down your hair like she did in the past, tried to straighten your skirt and make yourself presentable- but it was only to hold off the inevitable. 

You had knives at your hips, and a cold, dead stare. When did the kind, young troll you once were change? You knew- but not really. You didn’t know it in your head, but it was there, hidden away in the past. Once your lusus had died, you were thrown to the barkbeasts, and had become cold then. It was only a matter of time before it came again. You had knocked on death's door many times, and each time had been thrown out abruptly. 

Your sweet, kind face was hidden behind dirt and blood of various beasts you had hunted to feed herself, and you held the blood stained book that carried the words of The Signless tight against your side. Was this the life you were meant to live out? You weren’t sure how many bubbles you had passed through, not sure how many times you had hidden away from other trolls. 

What were you looking for? Again, you knew in your past, but not in your mind.

 You did not think, you did not speak- you saved those for a time when it was important. Those were not important, not yet. Not till you found a fellow troll worth speaking to.
