I know this is not my usual thing but I’ve been writing my chipmunk fanfic and it’s all I’m thinking about besides warrior cats.

Did you sit down one day and begin to create an overall outline during those first few chapters or did it just keep progressing more organically as you went from chapter to chapter? And AHHH, the title ties directly into the conclusion too, so how did that come into play despite it starting out as a sick fic? Was the ending inspired by the title or was the title still somehow inspired by the ending?

Thank you so much for this piece of work, by the way! It’s been a crazy distraction, but I’ve also been thoroughly enjoying having something to obsess over this last month. Never in my life did I think I’d get into Hijack, but damnit, you’ve converted me. Your writing is gorgeous, and especially chapter 28 meant a lot to me; it’s absolutely beautiful.

i had a vague outline but mostly i planned it chapter by chapter. they way it came together by the end was a result of the two, i think—some was a happy coincidence, some was planned. the ending was inspired by the title, which i think came together around like halfway through writing it, when i had a sort of ‘ive connected the dots’ moments. like. i dont remember exactly how i got the idea, but i imagine it must have been like, im rereading the first chapter and i suddenly look up and go, oh my god. the wind is a friend of his.
