This one's a little dark

So last night I was between exams, and I actively noticed it. Something I hadn't acknowledged before, something that I didn't think was me.

I had a urge to hurt myself.

I can't explain it, but it was there, and it scares me that it is there.

I could beat it for now, but what if one day I couldn't. This was my thought process last night.

So I reached out to one of my closest friends, who I knew would get it without panicking, and just talked it through. And you know what? It helped.

There's no real point to what I'm writing here other than to shout into the void, and to maybe one day look back and see how far I've come from this. But if you have read this far: you are loved. You are valued. And it will get better, however far away that may seem xx

I came back to this post. Right now I am doing better. Life has ups and downs but I'm making it through.

Of course life is still stressful. Since I wrote this a pandemic began and is on going. It's near impossible to see anyone in person. Yet, I'm currently dating a wonderful wonderful gal, who I care about very much. I'm also begining to enjoy those things I lost love for again, like watching wrestling and horror movies. And I'm liking the person I am a lot more.

I don't doubt myself as much either. I do still doubt on occasion, but I'm much better at dealing with it.

One thing definitely hasn't changed tho, I still like to ramble on a post to comprehend my thoughts.

To those who have read this, you are loved and you will get through. Just remember recovery isn't always a straight line. Xx
