My Characters Beat Me Up and Take My Lunch Money

Three bookmarks requested by a friend long ago. I didn't find them particularly good, but I thought the techniques used to create them were interesting including the gradient washes and the blend of watercolour and gouache.

This is the most beautiful scientific diagram I've ever seen.

you won’t always feel like this. this is only temporary. one day this will be over.

it’s hard to find, but trying to look for the silver linings. look for the tiny sparks that make you feel warm inside. distance yourself from things that drain you.

you may feel weak, but the last time you felt you couldn’t do it anymore, you still kept going. you’re strong enough to make it through this. 

be gentle with yourself. treat yourself kindly, like a little plant that needs to cared for. stay hydrated, surround yourself with sunlight (comforting things and people), allow yourself time, kindness and patience to grow.

be loving towards yourself. whenever you think of a bad thought, defend yourself with a kind one. the negative thoughts are just your insecurities and fears. no matter what you think, you’re loved, you belong somewhere, you make someone happy, and you have many beautiful qualities about you.

do one small thing that makes you feel a sense of accomplishment. it doesn’t matter what it is, but sometimes, going to bed after feeling accomplished is one of the best feelings.

remember to stop being so hard on yourself. don’t expect so much of yourself. you’re not a robot. you deserve rest and making your mental health a priority. it’s ok to make mistakes - it means you’re trying.

No specific patterns or designs, theoretically fiber craft agnostic, hopefully a good mix of being encouraged to try new things without being overly prescriptive about it.
