Look, these two are not gay by any stretch of the imagination, however I always found this sequence in the performance very funny. I have to admit the way Art is watching Paul sing so closely makes me smile. I honestly believe (according to interviews from 1981) that it's simply because Art had never sung this particular Paul Simon solo song live with him as a duet before and he was trying to make sure they were harmonizing in sync. Still, it is definitely a cute moment to watch!
