I'm on the moon. It's made of cheese.

The first one was Udon, the bog slug, who has broken containment and now sometimes shows up in other people's stories as well as my own.  He first appeared in one of my earliest pieces of D2 fanfiction, Offering, set during Season of the Witch.  Udon was the one bog slug that did not disappear when the player character approached it in the Athenaeum.  He’s now shown up in seven of my stories and two of someone else’s.

Ka-Reika'a is an Eliksni oc I created for A Dance with Vengeance.  She demanded the Drifter pay his life-debt to her house by killing the house that wiped hers out.  He and Eris talked her down to vengeance on the leadership and warriors who supported the slaughter, and the remainder of the House of Knives (along with one House of Dragons hatchling, hidden and kept safe by a House of Knives warrior who wasn't ok with killing hatchlings) agreed to become members of the House of Dragons and accept Ka-Reika’a as their Kell before flying to the Last City to amalgamate with the House of Light.

Alice is an older human character I created for the same story.  She has a restaurant in the Last City and runs a makeshift orphanage where she takes in children who have no one and helps them in exchange for them working for her.  She became a recurring character when she showed up again in Destinytober 2024 - Found Family and I've got notes in several other stories that are in various stages of half-done where she will re-appear whenever those stories are finished.

For Steam and Snow I created multiple past lovers for Eris and Drifter to talk about:   - Mouse, a human hunter Eris had an on-again, off-again fling with before she met Ikora. - Mahax (Max) and Tua'niik'ki (Nikki), aka Stringbean and Pretty Boy, former Eliksni criminal partners and lovers for Drifter. and - Tlixitlat, Drifter's Cabal one night stand who wanted to keep him as a pet (he declined).

I have a whole cast of original characters in my ongoing Road Trip series, including (but definitely not limited to): - Cha-si’nok (aka Pickleface) an Eliksni pirate and former associate of Spider who talks a lot like Variks - Krikras, an Eliksni pirate and great-grand-hatchling of Cha-si’nok - Mung, a Cabal pirate who hates Cabal authority and thinks honour is bullshit - Martini (R.I.P.) a human space pirate who had a crush on Drifter - he uh... didn’t make it and - Miri, pirate queen as well as Drifter's wayward abandoned adopted sort-of niece who hates him

I also have a whole cast of original characters in my ongoing Slay Bells Ring series, including: - Firesprite-7, an Exo Hunter serving drinks and providing security at the event - Chilliwack, Morg Hartvigsen, and Koharu-4, Praxic Warlock friends of Aunor Mahal who come with her to harass Drifter & Eris during dinner. - Jackie, a very butch-lesbian-coded human bartender friend of the Drifter and  - Artemis, a War Beast puppy gifted to Eris

And there's also various throw away characters in one-shot stories I've written, like the "coworkers" Drifter ended up escaping a mutiny with in Breakfast of Champions (written for the Alien Factions Zine) or the various people who died after betraying him in Destinytober 2025 - Ahamkara or Nahid, Eris' old friend who made an unfortunate Ahamkara wish in Destinytober 2025 - Awoken/Gift.  This is in addition to multiple random guardians that end up tossed in as not-overly detailed side characters whenever I need one.

But even though those are all "original characters" they exist to perform various narrative functions within fanfiction and I do not treat them the way other people tend to treat their ocs.  (For example, I kill mine off quite frequently.  The world of D2 is quite deadly.)  

So if you're asking whether or not I have one specific character that I think of myself as roleplaying when I'm playing Destiny? No, not really.  I will sometimes dress up one of my three D2 player characters (I have one of each class) as a character I am writing about so I can get a feel for weapons, armour, and how it feels to play that character in the game.  But my main D2 character doesn't have a name, nor does her ghost, and they will shift to be whatever I need at any given point in time, creatively.  

The closest thing I really have to an oc for people to draw or share stories about is probably Udon the bog slug (who does indeed get art made of him and has appeared in other fanfic writer's stories, much to my great delight).
