Gimli, Son of Glóin!

A super fun design commission I got to work on! His outfit is inspired by ancient Peruvian cultures, particularly Incan/Chimor. The patterns are based on traditional designs symbolizing the earth and strength. And the golden accessories by the beautiful historical metalwork.

But there's also elements that make this distinctly Tolkien, such as the symbol of the Hammer and Anvil of Durin, a thrush with a snail on the metal armor, and Gimli wearing chain mail underneath, as he is described in the books.
