i just had my eyes opened to the wonder that are green lanterns so here's the batfamily as lantern corps:
bruce - obviously yellow aka fear or the sinestro corps. he would hate sinestro but would be excellent at wielding fear as a weapon and be felled by fear too. he's paranoid about everything and prepares for the worst possible outcomes. of course he's fear. but a possible second contender could be the indigo tribe (bcs of his strict moral code and empathy for victims as well as his rogues)
kate - i won't lie i don't know much about her current comics and stories but from what i do know, i think she'd be best suited to being indigo too. her empathy for others have driven her entire life, from her getting discharged in the first place to every single important mission she's been on.
dick - im unsure of whether to place dick with the star sapphires for love or indigo tribe for compassion. he's just so full of love and a passion for helping others that it's difficult to choose. he's not really known to bear grudges against people he knows are good-hearted unless they've done something irreparable and is quick to form positive relationships. on the other hand, he can be quite detached and cold when he wants to be so he wouldn't do well with the emotional star sapphires. ok the more i think about it, the more i think he belongs in compassion. settled!
barbara - my goat. definitely green don't even play w me. the willpower to become batgirl in the first place. the willpower to become oracle. the willpower to be great. this is a no-brainer for me.
jason - it would be terribly easy to have him be a white lantern like kyle the guy he has beef with because it symbolises life over death. but i honestly think he belongs in the green too. he's always trying to do stuff on his own and make his own rules so i think he fits willpower. strong contender was yellow for fear tho since i feel like he operates out of fear of what will happen to both himself and people like him if he isn't strong.
cass - star sapphires don't even chat to me. her love for life and the people around her and every other civilian is astounding. ofc it has to do with her backstory but she is truly full of love and loyalty. tho she has her moments of red lanterns in her crashouts, i think her motivations are more often driven by love. helps that star sapphires are on the more emotional end of the spectrum.
tim - i was contemplating orange for greed, but i think he's better suited in blue for hope. it was a tough choice because his recent comics have been boring asf probably bcs his life is going well rn, so im more basing this on his early days as robin, red robin, and with young justice. i was originally picturing greed as in he's lost so many people that he's always trying to get that dynamic back and hold onto it. but i settled on hope because who else believes so much in batman and his symbol that they're willing to become robin?? also he's way too confident in himself id say that's hope. green was also a good contender but lost out pretty quickly.
steph - DEFINITELY green. don't play. she became a hero first to stop her father then kept doing it even when batman told her to go home. because she wanted to help people. she powers through everything and honestly just being light-hearted even in the face of everything she's been through without the same respect and recognition as other bats, she is definitely green.
duke - this is the trickiest one for me. im so split between green for will and blue for hope. he believes the city can be better if they try but has the willpower to actually go through with it and do his own thing. im not sure......ok nvm ive decided based on the robin war (which i have mixed feelings about), im gonna go with green. duke pls come back i miss you
damian - easiest choice besides barbara. compassion 100%. yes there's the whole animals thing which was definitely a factor in this but whenever he interacts with people he thinks are kind or innocent, his actions always seem thoughtful.
One bat fandom thing that bothers me is people insisting that duke hates hal or hals scared of him. They interact in dark days the forge and the casting and they actually get along pretty well. Duke was instructed to guard the batcave, while hal was told to investigate by the guardians. They fight due to these clashing motives
But pretty soon after this they team up to investigate since, big surprise, bruce was hiding something
And they both show genuine concern for the other, far from the petty hate/fear that fanon portrays
And finally, my favorite part, hal gives him a loner ring. He also calls him kid which is sweet. But the point is he trusts him enough to give him an incredibly powerful weapon
Basically hals reaction to duke was "oh shit bruce got another kid, it's cool uncle time." Also no green lanterns are scared of the bats. Overcoming fear is their whole thing. The lantern beef is strictly a bruce thing, and not nearly as exaggerated as it is in fanon (i still find that panel of bruce dubbing simon the one tolerable lantern funny). Also petition to make duke a lantern just because it would be really funny
