Vincent Rostova [tag] (he/him) is a PC for a completed D&D 5e game! since the game ended, i've been elaborating on his story with @quaxorascal and @dumpstermaster, thru RP and writing! he's a fighter (battlemaster) and wizard (divination) goliath, with an heirloom guardian angel of sorts that doesnt exactly value his safety.
Roxanne Andromeda [tag] (she/her) is a PC for D&D 5e (in Eberron specifically), that I'm currently playing as an occasional guest PC in my partner's game! she is a changeling bard (lore), and frankly ive had her for so long and she is so dear to me that summarizing her is difficult. she's a femme fatale motivated by fear, she's a shattered mirror, her bard magic is her seizing the narration of the story itself. if you see me talking about Dove Valor, he is also technically her!
Wire [tag] (any pronouns) is a PC for an ongoing Homestuck themed Monster of the Week campaign run by my twin! she is a Seer of Time, center snare in marching band, and had generally accepted that he isn't going anywhere in life. then, the world ended.
Soul-Steady Marrow [tag] (it/its, he/him) is a PC for an ongoing Pathfinder 2e game, specifically the Outlaws of Alkenstar adventure path! it is a kholo cleric of Pharasma, an efficient courier and a soul determined to make its life worth something. (some info has been redacted bc fellow players follow me now hiii)
Rosalie "Tommy" Lennox [tag] (she/her) is a PC for an ongoing D&D 5e game taking place in the Demon Wastes of Eberron! she's a wildhunt shifter gloomstalker ranger, working odd jobs to support what little remains of her family. her tag has a lot of info that's out of date currently, since she's one of my oldest OCs!

you'll get the urge as an artist or a writer to say out loud the things you're worried about "the proportions are off" "kind of out of character" "i'm not good at summaries" "didn't get as much detail as i wanted" "i made a mistake and here's how" and that's the self-conscious part of your brain telling you "it's bad and if you don't tell them you know it's bad then they'll think you're stupid" but you've got to ignore that little voice and pretend you think it's good or else that little voice is going to ruin your life
Some of the best advice I have ever gotten was from a creative writing professor. She said never apologize for your work. Never critic it before someone else does.
Her reasoning was you are the creator. You made your work from nothing and can see all the flaws and seems and holes. But your audience may not see any of it. Maybe they will; maybe they won't. But if you TELL them about the holes and the mistakes and the problems....they will 100% see them. So don't tell them. Don't sabotage yourself just because you think you're not good enough.

we've been in a dire situation for months, ever since my wife lost her job this past autumn.
we've finally been served a notice to vacate.
$3,138 due by JUNE 14 2026 or else it's the streets for us.
with no income or proof of employment, we have nowhere else to go. i'm unable to work because of worsening ME/CFS and other debilitating health issues that i can't afford treatment for. jobs are refusing to hire my trans wife. if we lose our housing, it will kill us, as even this city is becoming more and more openly hostile to immigrants and trans women.
it's aapi heritage month and me/cfs awareness month, and we're going to get evicted in pride month.
i don't know what else to say. we've been begging for months.
i have to add our base rent of $998 to the goal amount since we still do not have any confirmation of being hired and even if that happens soon, it will take multiple paychecks to catch up on our own, thus starting this harrowing cycle all over again.
however, we are now only $334 away from paying up in full to avoid eviction!! i am deeply grateful for everyone's generosity and help in keeping us safe and housed. thank you thank you thank you

My most diagnosable take is that honestly. As much as people in social justicey spaces talk about exercising your empathy ... there's also value in being able to turn it off so you're not extremely susceptible to emotional manipulation. Sometimes you have to be able to recognize "oh, this is bullshit propaganda trying to tug at my heartstrings" and stop giving a fuck about like. Colonizer feelings or whatever. Vibes can't override your principles

Cats that are REALLY human socialized and tolerant of touching are so funny. You can just grab them and pick them up. Boneless. Squish their little face in your hand. They love it.
