everyone go enable this immediately. it can be a bit hard to find because “visibility” is under blog settings instead of general settings or privacy. you have to do this individually for each separate side-blog
if you can’t find it on the app then the update probably hasn’t rolled out to you, and you’ll have to go through the web browser. what a truly wild way/time to implement this

Had a great time at PAX AUS with Savathun earlier this year! I may not have won or placed in the contest, but I rocked the stage and can't wait to compete again.

aaand the mask is finished, it took less time than I expected
It was a discovery for me that Worbla does not stick to plastic, I had to use soda with glue to imitate rust
The gauntlets for my Guild Wars 2 cosplay are done, other than sanding and painting! I still intend to finish this costume lol, it's just taking me extra time because life. All pieces are made of worbla over foam or cardboard, or by itself. The gloves are made from the same fabric (hand-dyed by me) as the rest of the costume. Everything is fully articulated to move with my hand and arm. The only armor piece I have left is the upper arm. Then it's just wiring, sanding, painting, and styling the wig! Woo! I'm pretty excited for this cosplay. Not only is it the most complex and difficult costume I've built, but it has also been with me through some tough times. At some point, I'll have to put all the pieces on and share some pictures :-)
Nameless King at WCS 2023
For the record, I almost did Nameless King instead of Ornstein last year. That didn't happen, obviously, but April this year I decided that I'd do it as my first project in Japan instead.
So! The result of several months of work - rebuilding my arsenal of tools, looking for places to buy materials from, learning how to make armor with new stuff - is this. It's got a bit of everything - armor, some wig work, some sewing as well. I'd say I've outdone myself this time.
As for the event... I've always known about WCS since I started attending the bigger conventions back in the Philippines. Now that we live here and have the means to do so, we just went there. I might start attending regularly. However, I really have to consider that attending outdoor events in August means sweating buckets. Like holy fuck.

So apparently someone is stealing my pictures of the Mask of the Mother to promote hate speech on Twitter. This is the exact opposite of everything I believe in. Not only is art theft wrong, but transphobia and misogyny have no place in a modern, civilized society. They are also stealing work from Dysania Props (https://www.dysaniaprops.com/product-page/dark-souls-mask-of-the-mother). If you see these posts, please help us both out and report for impersonation. I’d rather not say who it is because they’ll get more views.

Just a heads up for anyone with a DeviantArt, they have now made everyone automatically "opted in" for their art to be used for AI art. You have to go into the settings of every piece you've ever posted and opt out for each individual piece if you don't want your art to be used as "inspiration for" AI art. Additionally, users can now create AI art by inputting random DeviantArt users' usernames as prompts. Today might be a good day to opt out (or delete your account entirely, as I did).

Circular LED panels are wired and ready to start attaching to the rest of the armor. I've programmed these to work with an IR remote I had, so I can have multiple colors and settings that I can easily change at a convention. This is for my Guild Wars 2 norn cosplay (royal guard outfit). Materials are worbla, plexiglass, apoxie sculpt, and foam.
The bracers for my Guild Wars 2 cosplay are done (excluding sanding and painting). I'm quite happy with how they turned out. These are black worbla over cardboard and foam.
The only armor pieces left to create are the elbows, gauntlets and upper arms, and then I get to finish all the LED panels and rigging :-D
LED panel for my Guild Wars 2 cosplay. There will be one of these on either side of the tassets. This was a challenging piece. I cut out and sculpted the details by hand using Apoxie Sculpt. The plexiglass is curved, so I had to sculpt on top of that. The frame is made out of cardboard and worbla. I still need to make the diffuser, wire the LEDs, and make the backing. The lighting will look very similar to the circular panel I posted a few months ago.

I've been making ropes and tassels for my Guild Wars 2 cosplay. I couldn't find any rope I liked so I decided to buy macrame cord and make my own. It was more time-consuming than using pre-made materials but definitely worth it. The front is done, but I still need to finish the back. Not shown but I'm also working on the matching pants and crotch/butt flaps.
I've been learning Arduino programming so I can add some fancy LED effects to my Guild Wars 2 cosplay. This is a lot of fun, and I appreciate all the example code they provide. It also seems like my diffuser setup will work well. This is one of the windows from my armor.
