“Really?” Sarah asked curiously. She  had seen flower crowns before, and  had always wanted to make one. But  until this point in time, she never had.  So, she smiled up at Nerissa and nodded  vigorously. 

“Yes, please!”

“It’s not too hard once you get the hang of it. The main key is watching your hands.”

A hum escapes her lips as she gets to work. Small red flowers are put together as she twists and ties in a show of skillful hands. Once she’s done, it’s a pretty crown of red and green, and she places it on top of Sarah’s head.

🐺 — “ I doubt it, Nerissa. Because if he escapes, the first thing I’m going to do would be to make sure to keep you under my watch.” the logical reasoning was simple : if the Crooked Man was coming for her, then Bigby would get to her first. “ Not much scare me, but… Yes, I’ve been scared before.”

It didn’t hurt. Bigby Wolf had gotten used to the pain. Still, he brought his calloused fingers to the harsh gash in his cheek just above all the stubble. Despite his protest, he let out a hiss. No huffin’ n’ puffin’ here. Sheepishly, he rubbed the nape of his neck. His shoulders slumped down.

❝–It’s about Faith.❞

She almost reaches out to touch, almost but not quite. Hand immediately drops from mid-air into her lap as  she shifts in her seat. The concern never leaves her face as she meets his eyes. He looks worn out, and she’s worried. His next comment makes her heart momentarily stop.

“----What about Faith?”

“Well…just stay away for as long as you can. I’ll stick around in case he gets out of line.” A better way to phrase that would be when                    he gets out of line.       But she didn’t want to be that frank.

“Thank you, Vivian. I appreciate it.”

She raised an eyebrow, and took a drag from her cigarette. She didn’t usually talk to to Nerissa much, despite being coworkers. “Need a light?”

Nerissa doesn’t really talk too much to others besides Faith and Lily. She’s rather shut off from the world most of the time; it’s easier to cope that way.

“Oh uh - y’sure? You look like you’d need it more than me.”

“Oh come on!    It’s just one drink.           Live a little.“

🐺 — “ Honestly? Very unlikely. He isn’t magical by nature, and I did research him so he didn’t had any artifact that could had helped him out.” he  commented before adding “ Only if he ever gets external help, but every passing day his influence gets weaker. Besides, I’m hunting down everybody who could possibly gain anything with him being  back.”

“Roughen him up a bit, send a message.                                 Yeah, sure. I could do that.                                                         If you got the dough.”

Georgie wasn’t happy; she wouldn’t couldn’t lie to the girl. “Try to steer clear if you can.           …he’ll cool off eventually.”

Lawrence. The thought stung a little, hard as she tried to ignore it. She was due to check in on him soon, actually; in time, in time. Couldn’t go without any money, god only knew how he was supporting himself, and she hardly had pocket change to spare.

For one long moment, she felt hollow. The resulting smile was forced, but she tried her damndest to make it reach her eyes, make it proper.

“He won’t mind; he knows I run hectic hours, and that people need to look out for their friends. He’s understanding like that.”

Really he was. "It won’t be any trouble.”

Nerissa has worked with Faith long enough to know when something is wrong. She can easily tell the smile across Faith’s face is forced. Maybe, in same way, the ribbons that bind them also allow them to feel each other’s pain as well.

"Faith....” she murmurs, concern washing over her as she looks over at her friend. Faith is important to Nerissa; she’s practically one of the only few people that actually care about Nerissa. She doesn't like seeing her friend in pain or discomfort.
