One thing you despised about school were the exams. Well, actually there were a couple of reasons you disliked the place, but exams were most definitely a higher ranked reason— for you that was.
Although you disliked it, that didn’t mean you could slack off. So whenever you knew there was one coming up, studying became a number one priority.
Which is why instead of being out and about with friends or just hanging out with your boyfriend somewhere fun. You found yourself struggling with writing notes.
Meanwhile, your loving boyfriend who said he’d keep you company, when in reality he just wanted to be near you, was cuddled up in your bed watching tv.
Normally he would be glued to your side, finding himself clinging to you almost all the time when he could.
Yet he knew the importance of you making sure that your grades and scores were at least decent enough to feel satisfied.
So with that, he told you simply, “I’ll wait for you to finish, after that it’s us time.”
In the beginning you thought it would be a piece of cake, no worries at all.
Only to be proven very wrong when it came down to doing the actual work. But that didn’t stop you, you knew that it was important that you studied beforehand.
Mostly because all the time that you didn’t, the grade really reflected so, and that’s not something you wanted.
Therefore, studying was your number buddy during exam week.
And throughout that entire week, Seonghyeon was there. Sometimes he’d even help you by quizzing you on certain things, saying that it'll help you more. And he was right, it did.
But for him that wasn't the only reason, in reality he knew you’d finish up faster when he’d help, meaning more time for him and you!
Sadly for him, today wasn't one of those days. It would be just you who was working while he laid back, sulking quietly in your bed as he tried to watch the tv but yet would always find his eyes wandering to you.
Seonghyeon tries his best not to be a bother, he really does. Especially because he knows how important scores and grades are, but he just couldn't help but want to be a bother.
Wanting the attention you once gave him before putting it all on this load of work that could give one a headache for looking at it too long.
Which you caught on to him pretty early with this, it wasn't hard not to see. Not when he would let out sighs loud enough to hear, muttering a low, “It’s been hours” randomly throughout the study sessions.
Which he was doing right now as he laid beneath your covers that were up to his chin. Acting as if he was trying to find another thing to watch to keep him busy with the remote in his hand. But he didn’t talk, rather just letting out a dramatic sigh.
And for you, who had been studying the subject for about an hour or more give or take. Starting to feel the tiredness taking over as your eyes started to mess with you, causing you to look back at everything twice.
You knew it was probably time to take a break, just to call it a day, after all it wasn’t like the exam was tomorrow.
But you just couldn’t bring yourself to stop there, not when you were so close to finishing your notes that it felt like they were taking an eternity to just get done.
you pushed through and continued to write everything down till you felt the ache in your hand.
Luckily for not only you, but for seonhyeon as well, it took about twenty minutes more before you were finally finished.
Finally putting the pencil down, you’re quick to stand on your feet, giving a small stretch as you walk your way to your bed.
Turning your attention now to the bed, you were only to be greeted with a missing seonghyeon. “When did he even get up?” You thought to yourself as you slithered under the covers. Right where Seonghyeon had laid.
Not a sound was heard from him getting up at all when you were working. Or maybe you were just too focused to even notice and realize it.
Figuring he went to the bathroom, you waited for him to return. Picking up the remote to find something else to watch as you waited for Seonghyeon to return.
Not even a minute later, he walks in the room,
a smile appears on his face as he sees you in the bed and not seated at your desk.
Giving a nod, “Yes, finally. I swear my brain is fried now.”
And rather than taking the spot next to you, Seonghyeon believed it would be better if he’d just lay on you.
Without hesitation, you open your arms for him to lay on you, something he always did when he wanted more attention than normal.
Which felt like almost everyday but you didn’t mind it, not when it came to him.
Immediately he melted into your touch as your hands made their way to his head, running your fingers through the strands of his hair. The scratching against his scalp makes him sigh in relief and comfort. “So, how was your day?”
He rest his chin on your chest, looking up at your face directly into your eyes, “Besides my girlfriend ignoring me for over an hour, it was pretty good.”
You roll your eyes jokingly, “Ignoring? Yeah okay,”
“But I know a way you can make up for it.”
“And what is the way exactly?” You ask, giving him a suspicious look.
He grins, “By giving me a kiss.”
You can’t help but let out a light laugh, knowing that this would only lead to one of his little schemes of getting more than one kiss like always. But you didn’t shut it down, how could you?
Leaning forward, you place a kiss on his lips. One that didn’t seem enough for him.
“I think I need one more.”
Nonetheless, you gave into his antics, placing a kiss not only on his lips but on his face as well. Whether it be his cheek, forehead, nose.
There was at least one kiss laid in each different place. In response, you got small giggles out of him as he tried to act as if the kisses didn't tickle on certain spots.
Pulling away to see his reaction, you were only to be met with a giddy looking Seonghyeon— eyes glistening with nothing but happiness and admiration as he looked at you.
Playfully, you push his head back slightly , “Stop staring into my soul.”
Yet even when you did so he didn’t budge.
“Because you're too beautiful to look away from.”
Feeling the familiar warmth flood your face, your eyes avert away from his, pretending to go back and focus back on whatever was playing now.
“But you like it.” He chimed.
Knowing the truth, all you could reply with was, “Oh shush.”
After the small lighthearted banter between the both of you, Seonghyeon ends up laying his head back down on your chest. Unknowingly, your hand travels back up into his hair. Gently brushing through it once more like you did before.
At some point though, your hand goes still. Figuring that maybe he’s fallen asleep due to him going still and quiet. Soft breathes were the only thing that could be heard from him if you listened closely.
Yet once the movement of your hand stopped, he was quick to voice his complaints. “Why’d you stop?”
A bit taken back by the sudden question, thinking he was completely out like a light. You respond a bit confused, “Were you not just asleep?”
“Well yeah but you stopped,”
You snicker as your hand goes back to doing the same movement as before,"didn’t know such a small thing would wake you up.”
“it’s what hypnotizes me to fall asleep,” he answered, sounding as if he was still half asleep.
Smiling to yourself, giving a nod, “okay, I won’t stop till I know you're fully asleep.”
It’s quiet for a second, until he chirps up once again, “what about even after that?”
“Right, right! Goodnight,”
Now although our boyfriend acted as if he was glued to your side, invading any little space you had— you wouldn’t want to have it any other way.
