people say folks with adhd struggle with "delayed rewards" aka long term goals and as such we tend to focus more on short term rewards. what they don't talk about is that at when we Do accomplish long term goals we don't actually feel anything proportionate to the amount of work we did to achieve it. In my head I suffered for a while and then money spontaneously appeared in my bank account.
"Don't you feel satisfied that your windows are so clean now?" It sucked and it sucked and now I don't care. I just remember the sucking.
cant sleep
get off that
for the love of god get off that damn thing
being black in any art community is such a strange feeling cause you’ll see just blatant racism being expressed in others art and you have to just casually ignore it, for your sake if anything, colorism being something that’s just fundamentally there in every artist and you deal with it cause it’s not worth it in the end to even think of it too hard let alone even mentioning it, it’s definitely something
Hello nonblack reader of this post, I think you ought to share this one so that you and your peers can actively remind yourselves 1) of how your Black peers feel when you tolerate antiblack racism in your art spaces for entertainment and 2) that we notice it, but don't believe it is secure around enough of you to bring it up 🙏🏾
I don't think this is being widely covered by national news, but Western Alaska has been devastated by Typhoon Halong. Thousands of people are out of their homes, the coastal Yup'ik villages of Kwigillingok and Kipnuk had 6.6 feet of water above normal. Dozens of people were rescued swimming in icy waters, houses have been ripped off their foundations, one woman is dead, three people are still missing, and most people are sheltering in the community schools. This is a roadless, remote area where it's difficult to get supplies and help in, heading into winter. Consider giving towards the Native-coordinated disaster response sending food and other supplies if you can.

RIP Miss Major
Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a Black transgender woman and longtime activist who once lived in the Bay Area, died October 13.
A good way to honor Miss Major's memory, if you have the ability to, would be a donation to the Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Project Black Trans Cultural Center.
This is a project originally led by Miss Major herself and aims to provide political education, leadership development, re-entry resources following incarceration, and legal advocacy to Black and Brown members of the transgender, gender-variant, and intersex community.
Donate today and help TGIJP continue in the fight for self-determination, gender justice, and abolition! Donate Today!

but the answer isn’t to unplug completely, now that we can hear her crying out day after day, the answer is not to shut out the noise, but t
"This system wants us numb. It wants us tired. It wants us convinced that nothing we do matters. But we know better. We know that apathy is not the natural state of human beings. It is the result of trying to carry the entire weight of collapse alone. When you learn to share it, when you build community, when you direct your energy wisely, you find the strength that despair hides from you.
Rest. But rest so you can rise again. Resist despair. But resist it by remembering that your role is not to hold the whole planet together, it is to do your part with courage. Do not run from the scream. Face it with others. Transform it into the courage that will save her."
Help Baby Omar
Omar Update:
Thanks to everyone's donations he was able to see a doctor, get medicine, flour, and milk. Omar will eventually need surgery, so continuing to share his story makes a massive difference.
