Right after Iron Lung came out, this was one of the first things I worked on. I was chatting with a very dear friend of mine, and we joked about the song I Don't Wanna Be Free, from A Heist With Markiplier, with the lyrics rewritten to fit the story of Iron Lung, because it was funny.
I ended up rewriting the entire song in this satirical yet antagonistic way, where Yancy was just like "it ain't that bad down here!" I then went on to fully render the entire background, draw the characters on top of it (mind you, I hadn't drawn Markiplier for a few years before starting this) relight--I think--four different versions of the entire thing, and then decided to shittily SING the ENTIRE THING. WITH shitty voice acting, AND I decided to add Simon RESPONDING to what Yancy was saying (which probably ended up being too much). Of course, my voice wasn't as strong as I wished it was by the time I recorded this, but a lot of this was done over the course of a week, and I only redid it a second time after I finished it the first time.
Seeing as this was finished in a week, it had been pretty recent since the film originally came out, and per Markiplier's request, I decided to wait to post this until we got the "Big Okay(tm)" to publish any spoilers. Especially since this is just the entire plot of Iron Lung. Top to bottom. And likely misunderstood, because "ogre can only identify surface-level themes" until someone tells me otherwise.
A travesty hit, and I lost all the files on my computer. And I mean EVERYTHING. I completely lost that computer. And especially, I lost all of the versions of this project that I did. All of the layers, the file with the editing and the subtitling, and especially the lyrics.
Luckily, I have this version so memorised, I start to sing this version instead of the actual version. As well, I had shown people this project in a smaller circle, sharing it to them on Discord, so I was able to download the file straight off of there. This is the only thing salvaged from that computer.
I now have an actual computer, a new laptop, and enough of an idea of what I'm doing to completely remake this project, but I would still want to wait a while before I redid it. I would just have to hope the internet didn't move on from Iron Lung before I was satisfied, or manifest super hard that this video single-handedly brought back all of Iron Lung fans, and AHWM fans all in one go.

What if. What if. When you die. What if when you die, you snap up like whip lash. And like. You're sitting in a chair. And there's an artificial brick backdrop to your left. And it's. And it's. And it's an interview. With Wilford Warfstache. And and and he interviews you about your life. But all the questions end up pissing you off. because he still hasn't told you where you are. and he's all like "grim reaper isn't the kindest term in the world, but if that's a concept which your mind can grasp, then sure."
Moral of the story. Wilford Warftsche is grim reaper. His scythe is a gun, his cloak is pink and iridescent and hell is an interview with him. Everyone goes to hell when they die.
