one thing that i really enjoy about breaking bad is just how casually all of the characters just take advantage of racism. one of saul goodman's schemes to take over the car wash involves racial profiling, skylar white justifies not bringing the kids over to the car wash cause there's "too many illegal aliens", walter gets a bunch of latin american women who don't speak english to clean up after him and has little to no moral qualms against siding with a nazi gang later in the series, not to mention how just like, insanely racist hank is. all of these characters are deeply, deeply racist and at no point does the show ever point at them and go "this behavior is bad! you're supposed to not like this character for this!" it's like a kind of accurate portrayal of what racism looks like. unfortunately the show also puts the piss filter over mexico and rarely if ever portrays mexican people as anything other than Crazy Violent Dehumanized cartel members
