Birds, Batman, and B???

A friend of mine was recently let go from their job due to discrimination over being transgender-- He's currently working with a Union rep over it and is working a new job. However, it's going to take a while for money to start coming in, and they're currently facing eviction.

If anyone can give anything, he would really appreciate it.

Cedar waxwings! What's interesting about the second photo is the different colored tail tips! The color of their waxy wingtips and feather tail is impacted by their diet.

Usually the wingtips are red due to the accumulation of the red pigment astaxanthin and the tail tips (feather) are typically yellow due to carotenoids.

However, once Morrow's honeysuckle was introduced to the US, sightings of cedar waxwings with orange or red on the ends of their tail feathers increased. It is postulated that this is because the berries of that species contain a red pigment as well, rhodoxanthin, which turns their tail tips orange instead of yellow
