turns out i’ll never really grow out of the habits of my youth. turns out the songs and sounds of adolescence will haunt me well throughout my adulthood, and some parts of our personalities are crafted at so young an age that we spend the entirety of it wishing for it to be over, and the older i get the more it seems like the memories i prayed to forget will be the ones i always remember
