My Concerningly Growing CD Collection
*Ignore that I'm posting this 13 minutes past midnight on the 21st.
I meant to post this on the 18th, but I guess I've been busy. So much for sticking to a schedule when I couldn't even do that for the first month. Oh well 😮💨 I still haven't even contacted Books-a-Million's customer support about updating my card info... There's a lot I've been putting off.
Anyway, I'm still watching Fushigi Yuugi and Requiem of the Rose King mainly. However, I did check out the first episodes of a couple of brand new anime: Mechanical Marie and May I Ask For One Final Thing? They were fun, but I don't think I'm going to continue them for now. Plus, I did say I wasn't going to start any new series until I finish the ones I've already started, but my curiosity got the best of me.
As for manga, I started reading volume 1 of Hellsing and was hoping I'd finish it before posting this, but alas, I got distracted...
Distracted by CDs! Ever since I got a CD player, I've been trying to build up a little CD collection. Here's some anime/otoge OSTs, plus an album of Japanese symphony music, I own.
I've been having a lot of fun searching for used CDs especially! But, I have to be careful not to just buy whatever I get my hands on because I don't have that much room for another big collection 😅 That space has to be reserved for my manga. Thankfully, I remembered how to rip CDs again, and someone gave me their old iPod, already filled with a collection of anime and Japanese music! I also found my sister's old, pink iPod Nano, which would've been such an aesthetic, but I'm not so sure it works off its charger 🥲 I don't have any anime music on it, so "Sk8ter Boi"'s the next best thing
Since I had to boot up the old desktop computer in order to rip the CDs, I found out that my sister ripped a whole bunch of music to that PC once upon a time. I found some interesting stuff on there, including the Clannad OST, Princess9 OST (for some reason -- neither of us have ever seen that), and various albums from artists we heard at Sakura Matsuri throughout the years. I'm thinking of getting some blank CDs to burn those songs onto, and drawing cute little cover doodles in sharpie like that Scarecrow mixtape in Bustafellows.
I'm also thinking about ripping the few otoge audio dramas I have. Which reminds me that I haven't actually listened to any of them yet. That was one of the reasons I got a CD player in the first place.
A lot of the CDs I've gathered came from Wonder Books and Video, which I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to revisit this past week!
Aside from all that, I'm still playing through Shiba's route in Ephemeral - Fantasy on Dark - and Mozu's route in Bustafellows Season2, but I feel like I'm getting close to the good ending in both their routes! Of course I'm using a guide, heh.
Last, but not least, I've officially made up my mind to go to Pokefair next Sunday. I'm gonna do a casual Misty cosplay (super original, I know). I should probably brush up on my Pokemon knowledge.
