Old does not always mean out of date but rather vintage or historical. Your ideas are never old, used, or ridiculous. Look back in time and learn all the ideas we use today where people thought it was a long shot or not something worth working on. Without ideas we would be nowhere! There are many drafts to ideas so do not let anyone discourage you from any notions you may want to pursue. Nothing is impossible! With enough creativity, ambition, and tools anything can be created!!

There are times when you are unmotivated but what you need to do is take time to rest. After a day or two force yourself to do something you enjoy maybe something that you can complete and show a finished product. Enjoyment and inspiration is a way to get out of a funk.

Take a moment and think about your accomplishments! We are all proud of something and nothing is better or worse than someone else’s. Different lives and opportunities gives us different paths in life. Create your own goals and feel proud for the littlest things in life. You will be happier!!
There are times when you feel down or sick for days but eventually there comes a day that brings you back to the light. Don’t give up during those rough days. There is always a light at the end or a rainbow after a storm. It will eventually get better. Wait until that day comes because it will. You are strong!
Many people suffer from migraines. If you had one before you may understand how debilitating it can be. Suffering through them for days is miserable especially when you still have to get up and complete some daily tasks. It’s not always just a little pain here and there but an illness that can leave you suffering on the bathroom floor with the lights off. During these times my service dog helps by cuddling and distracting me. Other times she can be a pain because I have to get up to feed her, play, and walk her. However, she is always there to keep me going no matter how I am feeling. My point in this post is that if you are feeling down or constantly having migraines the first thing is to see a doctor after that issue has been established create relaxing times throughout the day that just allows you a little break from everything. My puppers here is what helps me! I love cuddling with her soft hair and knowing she is there wanting me to be happy as well as keeping her happy. Animals can really help boost your mood.
Animals aren’t always the best for people so you need to find your thing that keeps you going even in times of feeling miserable. Just don’t forget the most important advice is to relax a little and take a break throughout the day in hopes of keeping stress down. This may allow your mind and body to get a quick rest and reboot that it may need to keep going healthily through the day.
Until the next post, We hope you have a healthy day!

Panic attacks are extremely hard to deal with. Especially being woken up by one. You are disoriented, exhausted, and in a panic. You were just sleeping and all of a sudden you are on high alert without the energy needed to fuel your rapid emotions. This happened just last night and I am lucky to have my service dog with me as well as my husband. Support is everything to someone who has to deal with this. If you or you know someone who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks it is beneficial to support them in any way you can. Some days are harder than others but everyday is still a struggle.
Until the next post, I hope you have a healthy day!

Continuing on from my last blog, mental health is a notion that should be taken seriously. Everyone needs a stress reliever so go find yours! With this outlet comes a relief and a break from the harshness of fast pace living. Our society is so bent up on working and making money that we stress over everything from bills to daily chores and kid’s routines. We should be enjoying life with our loved ones and not stressing over a job that has taken over your whole life. I’m not saying to give up working full time or finding that high paying job but do it mainly because you enjoy that work. Maybe we need to work together on creating a lifestyle where to is acceptable to work half a day and spend the other half with family and doing things that we enjoy.
Why should we work ourselves to death and not seeing the money we earned? Yes, things are expensive and of course we want these nice things. I know I am always wanting something new but at the same time we are always broke after bills and groceries are paid. We may have a little left over to splurge but that is it. Finding that balance between being a hard worker and enjoying life may be difficult but it can also give your brain that mental break it needs. It will also give your body the rest it needs until the next day of going back to work.
So, the point of today’s blog is to realize that your health and happiness matter. While we have to work hard to earn money and a nice lifestyle, we also need to take several breaks and enjoy what life has to offer. Never give up on finding that thing that brings light to your darkness. It is never fun to feel out of control and break down. At the same time no one should be berated for it as this is something that happens all too often. With acknowledgement and effort on your end, life may be a little bit brighter for you.
Until the next post, I hope you have a healthy day!

Good morning or whatever time of day it is for you. For my first ever blog, I decided to discuss Mental health. Before I begin, my work is not to be used for exact information or strong advice. I am not a doctor or scientist. I have a bachelors in sociology with a minor in criminal justice. This blog is merely to help guide us in understanding mental health. “I AM NOT AN EXPERT.“
According to Mental Health.gov (2021), Mental health affects a huge part of our lives. It reflects our social, emotional, and psychological well-being. It may also help establish the way we react to stress, and the choices we make. If that does not explain the importance of your emotional wellbeing than we will have to delve even deeper.
Let’s begin by the age-old question of psychology! “Is Nature or Nurture the main cause of behavior in an individual? Society has been fighting this debate from the beginning. What do you think? Give me your opinions in the reply below. I would love to read about the different sides and why you believe it. To give my own opinion, I will state that I believe it to be a little bit of both. Some characteristics are genetic and passed down from one generation to the next which would count as nature. However, others are learned and formulated by the people and experiences around you growing up, hence the nurture explanation. Why can it not be a balance of both? Psychology and sociology are not exact sciences. It deals with emotions and the mind. Both brings you on the path of the unknown. There is so much about the brain that we do not understand. We do our best to put terms to the way it works and how it allows us to move and feel. With this comes different variables that changes in every single person.
If this is the case, then how do we explain mental illnesses and find ways to help each other cope with daily stress? The answer is not as easy as you may think. It varies by person. One thing may help someone go on with their day and not think so negatively and does nothing for the other person or makes their issue worse. Everyone deals with stress on a daily basis. How we react to that stress is the problem. Some individuals can cope better than others. We may find an outlet like a hobby, meditating, fighting, drinking, or even drugs. Some are considered healthy whereas others not so much. Keeping this viewpoint in mind, stress can lead to mental breakdowns and mental illnesses. It’s not as easy as saying “don’t drink” or “don’t do drugs”. Most people do not set out thinking that they want to accomplish being the drunkest person alive or overdosing on the worst drug. These outlets give a person the ability to go somewhere else so they can deal or not deal depending on how they look at the situation.
“Do you have a method to release stress?” If so let me know below. It may give other readers another way of dealing. Getting back to behaviors. Everyone has their own personality traits whether it be from genetics or upbringing these characteristics affect the way you react to every situation. Some may lash out, cause self-harm, bottle emotions deep down, or may not even be affected by it. Understanding people and their emotions is what is going to help here. However, the body is made up of different measurements of chemicals. This means that hormones and of course our emotions are going to vary depending on the elemental factors.
Before moving on too deep or discussing confusing terms, tell me what you think on this topic. The more opinions I have the more I know how to address the different sides and answer any questions that might arise. We are not here to fight but to bring up different opinions/suggestions on what can help with stress and dealing with behaviors.
