Everything that I postponed for years in the name of productivity culminated and I dealt with crisises coming left and right like a champion.

From experience - facts:

Face the fact that you’re human. You’re not a machine. You have needs and that doesn’t make you weak. Things put under the carpet, unconsciously or not, will bite you back in unpredictable ways.

Things you don’t like/hate are the things you need to do the most.

Do not be reactionary. Ever. For anything. Take a few steps back. Sleep on it.

If it seems like everything is falling apart: the dark thoughts are blatant lies. There is always a way aligned with hope. Life’s challenges are made to be overcome.

Be patient. Actions do add up over time. Persistence always pays off.

Everyone’s got a default mode. Analyze. Write. Police the thoughts. Act. Create change.

The brain doesn’t make the difference between what is imagined and reality. Think about that.

The more you think about doing something you apprehend, the more energy will be used. The more it will feel like you’ve actually engaged with it when in reality 0% was done. So just get on with it. The fixation on the concept of ‘perfection’ doesn’t get the job done.

Change isn’t linear. Relapses don’t erase progress.

Capitalize on sleep. Have a good sleep hygiene.

Do not isolate yourself. Take a walk. Humans need to socialize. Isolation can be tempting but is extremely harmful for the physical and mental health.

Filter your social media intake and people you choose to follow. Either cut it out altogether or take breaks. Being aware of the drawbacks calls for being smart about it.

Be cordial with people, even the ones you don’t get along with. You’ll gain from it. Filter the ones you let gravitate in your personal space.

If in position of power = Help. It’s a virtuous circle that will also, yes, benefits you.

There’s no set schedule for everybody in life. There’s circumstances and what you do with them. From this observation, comparing yourself to others is a waste of mental space.

Not knowing every single detail of what you want you want to do with your future isn’t the end of the world. Have a general idea but stay engaged, be proactive, be curious and open-minded. Your vision will become sharper.
