HOMONCULOUS (little man)

How do people get into this predicament with stairs? And, the carpet pattern was not the best choice, since it blends everything together.

“He never gives up”

there are three “party members” at the start of the journey but more are added as the plot goes on (max, sharkboy, and lavagirl + kris, susie, and ralsei)

one or more of the party members has been with the main kid since childhood in canon or in some theorized way (the theory that ralsei is kris’ horn headband and sharkboy and lavagirl being max’s imaginary friends ever since he was very young)

it’s also worth noting that at the start both of the non-main character party members are. well sharkboy and susie and both violent monster-like heroes who bite things and are hesitant to go along with the whole “defeating enemies thru the power of love” thing and ralsei and lavagirl are both more sensitive and laidback and more pacifistic in comparison

in the “other world” all the people from the regular world have cool costumes and enhanced roles

the main kids parents are both divorced (max’s parents, toriel and asgore)

since i’m mainly relating sharkboy and lavagirl to chapter 2, mr. electric and queen are EXTREMELY similar. both are robots in some position of power AND they use sentient wires modeled after dogs as minions like?

the main villain (queen/mr. electric) use two kids from the regular world as underlings. these two kids just so happen to be a girl who is shy and nervous in the real world who in the other word gets turned into a magical princess of ice and snow (noelle/marrisa) and a bully who is full of himself who picks on the other kids and is turned into a henchman type in the other word (berdly/linus)

battles occur on rollercoasters multiple times

this ones a tiny bit of a stretch but tobor and spamton do have some similarities worth noting: both are old playthings that were discarded in a “garbage dump” of some kind and both have connections to robots and both had a downfall in some way. they also both have past connections with the main kid - tobor was max’s old robot his dad was making and spamton and kris share similarities with being “puppets” controlled by some greater force. both also find some “freedom” in “flying” at some point

-lavagirl and ralsei both stuffer with serious identity problems and place a lot of their worth of on the main character (ralsei places almost all of his worth on guiding kris. lavagirl places a lot of pressure on max to find out what her true purpose is)

-the friendly shy girl characters they’re friends with are both the only people who are friendly to them at the beginning of the story + are the children of authority figures and have a rocky relationship with them (noelle is the daughter of the mayor who’s heavily implied to be very controlling, marissa’s father Mr. Electricidad aka max’s teacher is overprotective and actively keeps her from making friends)
