i really like the vessel but i've never drawn it before. tryna do it some justice here

yeeaaaah i mean while i have different theories that i think are possible, vessel = UNUSED is still the best one and most coherent to me. dess being just the knight or having a different role makes more sense than her being both UNUSED and the knight or just UNUSED.

my current theory is that i think the vessel was intended to be in kris' place somehow, or the vessel is something of a placeholder for kris that was no longer necessary (would be odd to think considering that we went through all that customization just for it to not be intended for anything). thus, they may have a basic outline of kris' memories as part of the framework for kris

i think "is this that nightmare or is everything else a dream" is a clue that UNUSED's memories might not be as like, literal as we may think if that makes sense. that sort of thing is most fitting for the vessel, who wouldn't have gotten to experience any real events, but still has memories of a past

my understanding of the lore, let's call it a headcanon: i think UNUSED isn't really capable of knowing that there is something past where it's located, which would be the rooms normally accessible by the players. on occasions it's been able to find the boundaries of where it is, but be unable to interact with it past that (until that part of chapter 4 comes around)
