So Looks Like I’m Doing This

Hey guys, I’m going to be working on a proof of concept game based on Mark’s Doodle Warriors series. No idea what the story will be or how long it will take, but I’ve felt compelled to try something new since I don’t have much drive to draw anymore.

If you’d like your Doodle Warrior featured in the game, re-blog or post it in the Shipping Squad blog for me to see. For now everyone will be just an npc, probably giving quests. If I’ve enough time (and the software I use gets updated a few more times) I’ll take requests for potential party members.

This invitation is -ONLY- for Squad members and not the general public (so don’t go re-blogging this post to your main account). I don’t have time to add every Tom, Dick and Harry that wants to be included. Sad but true.

My own character wields a tome:

Here’s my reference sheet of my doodle Warrior. It’s slightly improved cause of the glove, but besides that, she’s still the same. If anyone needs help with their character and stuff, you can just simply say so and I’ll try my best to help.

My character wears a dark green poncho like the one David Dunn wears in Unbreakable or Glass, whichever you’ve watched or seen. Whether you want me to have the hood opened or closed is up to you. I prefer the former so the face and hair can be shown. No gloves. I have a long sleeved turtleneck shirt. I have no gloves. I prefer my hands bare so I could feel the touch and the air on my hands. I wear black pants and safety shoes (the type that has a metal plate at the edge of the shoe). I hate the heat but I often enjoy the light cold.

I have black hair and dark brown eyes. My skin is a healthy tan. My hair is currently shoulder length and wavy because it’s been forever since I’ve gone to a barber but it would look cool for the sprite. Now I always pull my hair back since oftentimes it blocks my eyes. And I have a bang of hair that won’t pull back.

I’m 5'6 or 1.71 m. Whichever you prefer as a measurement. My character is slightly skinny like me but actually really strong like David Dunn, although my weakness is that I’m horrible at knowing lies but I will be truthful about that if I was asked since I’m blunt. I’m also dense in most social behavior so I’m often confused and tilt my head slightly sideways to show my confusion.

Oh, and magic. I’m basically immune to poison and disease, and can take strong hits and everything, again like David Dunn, but magic is a no no. Illusions, mind magic, is a no go. Elemental types are slightly only slightly defended but still hurts.

So I’m basically one of the small melees in the group… I am so sorry if this too long. My mind always goes overboard on this sort of thing.

Since the poncho will be covering my arms when I walk, you don’t have to animate it to move. The legs will still need to be animated since the poncho only goes to slightly below my knees.

Okay, done! Sorry, I forgot to mention that detail!

Basically the character is a melee based fighter with a controller as his weapon. Basically it looks like a PS2 controller and I swing it around on a chord and a keyboard shield. I know no magic. And all attacks are puns off of video game franchises.

I wear a dark coat that has markings on it (if that is possible for you to do, basically they look somewhat like metal band logos, but if it's not possible I totally understand). I'm also wearing a black shirt and pants. I also have short black hair. My eyes are brown and my skin is pale.
