💀 l o o k,,,,,,,,,,,,, from luke tho it's absolutely okay if not !
She knew she was going to die. Demigods rarely made it to their twenties but she was only twelve. A child who had been forced to grow up too quickly. Halcyon Green had tried to warn her through a prophecy you will sacrifice yourself to save your friends. Her fate had been decided decades ago. Thalia winced, looking down at her wounds. She had been hurt a lot of times, always healed by ambrosia and rest. However, a few hours of sleep and medicine would not save her now. Nothing could. Her right side was bloody and infected. So much blood, so much pain... Thalia blinked a few times, biting her lip to hold back a cry of pain. She had to be brave to not make it worse for her friends. Her friends... She looked up at Luke. Her first ally, her first friend, best friend. He meant the world to her and observing him now Thalia felt the pain slowly going away. He would be safe. He would be protected at Camp, was there truly anything else worth dying for?
❛ It's okay, Luke.❜ She murmured, forcing herself to smile. Brave, brave. She must be brave for them, for him. ❛ You... I know you'll take care of Annabeth but please, take care of yourself too.❜ She knew how he was, too prone to put everyone else's happiness before his own. Lightning flashed in the sky and she gulped.
Now Thalia only wanted to remember something happy. A single glimmering tear shimmered out of her eyes as she realized she would never feel happiness again. How she would have loved to grow up here with Luke, Annabeth, and Grover. They would have been really happy. But just because she did not have a shot at happiness anymore did not mean her friends would not. Sure, they would mourn her but the pain would slowly go away and they would forget her. Did it really matter, if forgetting meant they would smile again?
❛ It is not your fault.❜ She added, coughing. Her eyelids were heavy and Thalia suddenly felt exhausted. More than she ever felt before. ❛ Not... your... fault.❜
Her strength faded and just as her eyes slowly closed lightning lit up the sky. Thalia Grace was no more. Where her body laid a few seconds ago, a pine-tree slowly started to grow, giving the daughter of Zeus another kind of life, though not the one she deserved.
