V1 use Greatfairie's textures, V2 use my recolors.

The mesh, natural defaults and mirror defaults are on separate files, so you can choose naturals and mirrors independently. Whatever you do, you need to keep the mesh file and no more than one "naturals_DEF" and one "mirror_DEF".

I can't believe I've finally made it!!!! I first started working on this overlay in 2024, I tried like three times to create a box, but it wouldn't work. So I settled for replacing a texture I don't use in another box with mine and putting it on my sims. But I've always wanted to upload it, because I think this is a very needed item. After a long fight I finally understood overlays very well and learned how to make them. And I'm so happy that I can upload this box now!

So, what is this? It's an overlay box that contains only one swatch that covers your sim's palms, making them look more realistic on dark-skinned sims. I tried to pick a tone that would be quite universal, it can be used starting with skins around S3 and all the way to the darkest skin tones. The texture is handpainted, I did my best trying to optimize it to look good on the Maxis hand mesh, but there might obviously be imperfections because both the mesh and the texture are quite simple. The texture is unfortunately a bit pixelated; as I've mentioned, I had put it in a different package for personal use at first, and it appears that I don't have the original image file anymore, so I had to pull it out of my game and then back into the game, which... probably didn't help its quality, but it's the best I could do. I think it looks gorgeous, pixelated or not. And if you're not zooming in too closely, it's not even noticeable.

To use this, you just have to place the overlay "box" object on your lot and choose "Add Light Palms" in the pie menu. There is also an option to remove the overlay. The object can be found in Miscellaneous/Dressers for §0. I based it on a mesh made for TS4 by yourdorkbrains and converted to TS2 by trishasimma. It looks like this:

These stunning animations come from The Sims 4 JaneSimsten's Playable Harp mod.

This harp will increase creativity skill and music enthusiasm.

Since it was cloned from a piano, this harp includes all the interactions that a piano has: Practice, Watch, Dance, Sing Along (for pets) v.v... However, I removed the Break, Tune/Uptune, Perform interaction because I didn't use Atavera and Argon's instrument hack, I just want my harp to play a few songs that I like, that’s all 😼

So, this harp will have 5 interactions for you to choose, including:

Practice (Gracefully)

Wedding (A Thousand Years by HarpistKT)

Classical (Moonlight Sonata by HarpistKT)

Fantasy (Suteki Da Ne by Arnaud Bannier)

Fairytale (Merry-Go-Round of Life by harpsona)

The animation will play randomly for each piece of music.

It would be amazing if the harp strings could move when Sims play it, but I’m not good at working with joints yet, so… sorry, you guys 🥺

Each interaction will correspond to one piece of music. I don't plan to have it run through a playlist. If you want to change them, it's much easier than editing a long playlist. You just need to replace the mp3 file with the group B3CD.

Because the harp is so beautiful, I kind of got carried away and ended up making quite a lot of recolors 😅. There are 12 recolors in total, including: maple (mesh), mahogany, dark metal, deep blue, dark green, silver, ivory marble, rose gold, golden, deep red, blue-purple ombre, and baby pink (a special color made for my friend — she really loves pink 🎀).

Since the textures are 1024×1024, I didn’t merge the mesh and the recolors into a single file. If there’s any recolor you don’t like, you can safely delete it without affecting anything else.

Thank for @jacky93sims, for helping me fix the sound file issue. Without her help, this harp would be playing piano sounds by now :D

Please be aware, the area is HUGE.

It was my first attempt at an sc4 terrain and I didn't realize how much bigger it'd be when imported into Sims 2. I wanted a lot of space for large farms... I definitely accomplished that.

I also tried to make beach lots work, but only one road ended up being close enough to the water. You can still get about 2-3 beach lots in - again, I'm new to making sc4 terrains and misjudged the sizing.

By that point I'd gone back to SC4 to tweak things at least a dozen times, and I was getting impatient to decorate and play, so I didn't fix it. I knew I planned to cover most of the coastline in rocks anyway, and at the time I had no intention of sharing the terrain on Tumblr.

Now here's where I might place future lots:

The little hilltop to the northeast is where my nobles will live, and eventually my royal family. I'll have my main castle there, and there'll be plenty of space for military barracks, training grounds, and a farm to feed the upper classes and military.

The east will be my shops, communal well, tavern, boarding house, etc. There's more room than what I know what to do with, so I'll probably fill it up with a few deco buildings too. I'll probably have my convent and church somewhere in the middle, where it starts to become more rural. All of the farmland will be to the west, and then the most western edge of the map will be forests. The little hill on the top left will probably have a camp for my outlaws.
