As requested, this is @yoursingrey 's AF Agnes Kirtle with mesh edits and added fat & preg morphs. I edited the textures (details under the cut) so the recolors are also included. Categorized as everyday & outerwear, normal shoe sound.
Also added a Maxis hands version (the original has smooth hands), don't forget to delete whichever version of the mesh you don't want. Polycount: with Maxis hands: 7,786 // with smooth hands: 9,594.
Download: SFS / Google Drive
Full swatch and details below.

Edits
Textures edited to prevent white lines to appear along the seams as you zoom out (and yeah the blond sim has the fat morph) ↓
Mesh edits, mostly bone assignment to improve movement and clipping ↓
It's not perfect but better. I removed a few faces from the dangling part of the belt to make it easier to get rid of clipping. Also buffed up the arms and reduced the bust a bit to make them closer to the standard AF shape.

Secret Santa 2025
Gift for @tipsypixel-sims
Another great event at Plumb Bob Keep, in which my Santee was the terrific Tipsypixel, who requested some goodies for @arendholmislands. Needless to say, I was very inspired by such a beautiful world!
Tons of deco textiles and furs for decorating benches, counters, floors, and walls.
Some wolves.
Various flowers, plants, and trees native to Britain made seasonal.
Rocks and more rocks edited to texture-reference Marvine's Waterfall Shower Matching Rock 01 and to allow for snow to accumulate in winter.
Items have been edited to be repriced, recategorized, recolorable, room ratings lowered, add and/or remove tiles, viewable in neighborhood mode, thumbnails fixed, shine removed from TXMT, and then recolored, as well as compressed. A collection file and swatches are included in the folder for convenience. File names have been changed, but the original GUIDs have been kept! These edits will overwrite the originals in-game. Please see the attached text document file for additional information and links to original sets where possible. All credits and a world of thanks goes to the original creators!
The all new and shiny version of the previous ones. I originally made these because I’m a lazy decorator and using OMSPs is always a bit annoying for me. So here’s the new version, with following features:
make objects placed on them walkthroughable
can be placed without moveobjects on
slaved to BB niches (because who knows what this is good for)
each has 5 slots, each of a different kind (ground, low table, table, end table, counter)
very strong, will hold pretty much every 1 tile object
6 OMSPs for foundation, counter, sofa, coffee table, bed, table - should not be stackable, because I hate it when OMSPs jump on counters and tables. However they might be stackable when moveobjects on is enabled or on certain CC objects.
3 add ons, stackable
shiftable with AL
groundsize is 1x1 tile, so you can play Minecraft ;) -> note that the upper pictures still show the older version of the OMSPs, which are less than 1x1 tile wide. The new version has a larger groundsize, as shown in the last picture.
SHOULD still be BGcompatible, but I can’t test
If you don’t have the MASTER yet, get it here.
I’ve included a transparent recolor of the BBniches, as a bonus option, especially for lot creators (does not get rid of the shadow outside, however, while the clicking-method does). The recolor is NOT required for the OMSPs to work, so you can delete it if you don’t want it.
One last thing: even when they are turned invisible, the slots are still acessible, in contrary to the former version. This may be useful or annoying, but I can’t see a way to change it. I suggest to use Slotblockers, e.g. those.

Hello, hello! :D I'm taking a page out of @esotheria-sims's book today, who always adds a pretty "Random Scenery Pic™" to announce the return of her BACC posts. I think I never posted this picture of Boda watching the waves at night, because I couldn't fit it into the *turning-gameplay-into-storytelling* way I construct my posts, even though it is probably my favorite picture of her!
Anyway, what I am here to say is: I finally managed to stop spending my time cc-creating and building/decorating and actually played my game for once and even scheduled some posts! 🎉
The first post will be coming to your dashes tomorrow at the usual time (so... *checks* 19:30 UTC +2)! ⛵
I also plan to space them out a little more this time around so the planned posting times are Thursday/Saturday/Tuesday. But I guess we'll see how well that goes and I might end up changing it again because apparently this is how I roll, so... 🤷🏽♀️😂
Welcome to clutter addicts anonymous. We're here to help, by enabling your addiction. Oh you thought we'd try and fix you? Nah, there's no such thing as too much cluttering and me and my fellow addict @episims are here with a collab to bring you a set of much needed rotator OMSPs.
Perhaps you are familiar with Anoeska's object rotators, or you use the fway object rotators, or the SilentLucidity mega-set. They all have their uses, and their drawbacks. We feel there is room for one more set, that gives you more fine tune control without some of the annoyances.
The ground set will rotate objects around their center axis, in the same way we as players can but these give you the option of smaller degrees than the in game 45° and 90°. They come in 5 degree increments, for a total of 8. Items placed on them are still accessible to sims, though the animations may look wonky.
The wall set will rotate the item to the side, intended for wall items you may want to hang not quite straight. The SilentLucidity set has this, but the degree increases are large and they end up very wonky. Sometimes you want it just a little crooked, this set fills that niche. They come in 1 degree increments up to 9 degrees, for a total of 9.
Both sets come in clockwise and counter clockwise. They are perfectly level with the ground, and will go on other OMSPs. They come in small and large size, like the classic purple set, for a total of 68 OMSPs. You can choose if you want them in the catalogue, or collection only.
Download catalogue version (found in surfaces/misc, small cost 0, large cost 1)
Download collections only version (small costs 0, large costs 1)
Collection file included in both. Happy decorating 😇 Feel free to tag me on pictures of your delightfully asymmetrical cluttered spaces, I would love to see :3
In the same vein of matching things to the Super Stone Set, I also had a few building pieces and furniture pieces that I wanted repo'd to BB Niches for more versatility that I or others had not yet done yet.
LeMorvan Fridges 1 & 3 : Two subsets of walls and shelves.
Salix Loft Stairs: Repoed stairs and wall to each niche subset, allows to have a nice compact stair in a variety of textures.
Emerelind Spiral Stair Alcove: One subset. I did not change the internals on this package, just the name and the the texture referencing. It will overwrite the original.
Community Stove Cover: Made this so I didn't have to deal with making/finding recolors of the Community Stove. It has fairly limited recolorability as it is...so pair what recolors are out there that you like with this thing, which fits snuggly like a glove over it, granting you additional wiggle room for textures.
Window Nook Seat : For those bay windows that you make yourself rather than using the maxis versions. Comes in three variations that all share the game GUID so you'll have to choose only one: Maxis Bedding, Jonesi Blanket, or Sun&Moon for the fabrics.
Additionally, I needed some common wall use recolors of the BB Niches set at a whole so I threw those on there. Wall credits in the zip so you can also find the matches.

Rain continues to drizzle well into the night and lightning strikes one of the magnolia trees out in the cloister. Nobody was outside at the time, luckily, but Feanor and Ambrose, who were both in the left wing (a.k.a the one that’s closer to the cloister) still got negative memories of the event… which means that we’ve had our first official Fire in the hood! (and one that didn’t leave any lasting damage, at that!)
Aruena, meanwhile, was blissfully unaware of what was going on outside, as she was in a completely different part of the castle, taking a relaxing bath before bed. It’s getting pretty late, it’d probably be best if they all hit the hay. Yes, Ambrose, you too!
So about a year ago, I decided to start learning to convert clothing from TSM and The Sims 4 in an effort to have more options for medieval clothing in The Sims 2. Long story short, it turned into a massive project in which I ended up making default replacements for every outfit* I could find in The Sims 2 that either didn't have a medieval default, or didn't have one that I liked (minus one adult outfit that I'll hopefully get to, and I haven't looked at YA clothes cos I don't use the YA lifestage in medieval... yet!)
Firstly, I need to give a huge shoutout to @platinumaspiration because I wouldn't have gotten very far at all without her. When I first started learning these skills, I was watching Nikki's video tutorials and sent her a message asking for help / clarification on a few things, and she ended up sitting down with me on Discord for a few hours and walking me through the entire process of converting Sims 4 clothing from start to finish, showing me all kinds of tips and tricks, and has been my go-to when I've gotten stuck. She shared all kinds of conversion resources with me, saved me time, energy and mental health, so thank you, Nikki 🥰 I appreciate your time so much!
Now, I am still a baaaaby mesher / CAS content creator. You may notice issues with my meshes. If you would like to fix them, please do, and send me a message letting me know so I can update stuff! If you are like me and think, "good enough", thank you 😂🙈
Now, onto the defaults! This is just part one of many, many to come, so get a cup of tea and get comfy. You can scroll through and download all of these individually, or there will be a Download All link at the bottom 😉
1: 'Bomber Jacket' replaced with SimmieV's Leather Jerkin, converted by me - Download
2. 'Rave Vest' replaced with SimmieV's Peasant Vest, converted by me - Download

(sneaky extra clothes only revealed by debug was a rather annoying thing I had to constantly deal with lol, as you'll see!)
6. 'Sliq Jeans' replaced with SimmieV's Peasant Brais (no stockings) converted by me, with Simverse's TSM Off-Duty Knight shoes, also converted by me - Download
7. 'Bragg Jeans' and 'Lad Jeans' replaced with Simverse's TSM Alchemist Pants with boots that I converted from The Sims 3, which I have completely lost a link for sadly! - Download Bragg Jeans | Download Lad Jeans
8. 'Cowboy Jeans' replaced again with SimmieV's Peasant Brais, this time WITH stockings, and those Off-Duty Knight shoes - Download
9. 'Rockerbilly Pants' replaced with SimmieV's Leather Brais, with those same Sims 3 boots that exist somewhere online, converted by me - Download
10. Elder's 'Sweater Vest Collar Shirt' replaced once again with SimmieV's Common Tabard, converted & age-converted by me - Download
11. Elder's 'Short Sleeve Collar' replaced once again with Natalia Auditore's Medieval Long-Sleeved top, converted & age converted by me - Download
13. Teen's 'Rave Vest' replaced again with SimmieV's Peasant Vest converted & age-converted by me - Download
14-15-16 - Teen's 'Crew Neck Shirt Over', 'Short Sleeved Tie' and 'Sweater Vest Collar Shirt' all replaced with Andavri's Daddy Was Tunic (top only) with recolours by Andavri and Silvain - Download all in one (if anyone would like these separated, let me know)
17. Teen's 'Mock Turtle' replaced with Silvain's Separated Fur Tunic Top, originally full-body outfits by Parsimonious - Download
18. Teen's 'Jacket T-Shirt Hang' and 'V-Neck Short Sleeve' replaced with ES Sims's Top-Only Winter Tunics - Download
19. Teen's 'Short Sleeve Collar' replaced with AlmightHat's Faraday Tunics. For this to work properly, you must have the "Bump Map" file from Hat's Faraday Tunics download, which I have re-uploaded separately here, but all credit to Hat for these amazing Tunics! - Download
Wew! And that's it for round 1. If you want to grab everything,
Download Here!
"BUT WAIT, Tea! I just use hiders for all the CAS stuff in my Medieval game and I want your conversions!!" - Don't worry, I have got you covered friends.
Here are downloads for custom versions of everything I converted in this post:
SimmieV's Leather Jerkin
SimmieV's Peasant Vest
SimmieV's Tabard Common
Natalia Auditore's Medieval Long-Sleeved Top
SimmieV's Peasant Brais (Contains both Stockings & No Stockings version)
SimmieV's Leather Brais
TSM Alchemist Pants
Now since I'm fairly new to the whole, converting clothing cc game, I feel I should add some TOU to my work, since we all know TOU's are very important in the Simming community 🫡
So, with these meshes -
YOU MAY:
Fix them cos some of them are a bit crap I won't lie
Send me tips on how to get better at dealing with NORMALS (my nemesis)
Convert them to other games
Age Convert them
Recolour them
Re-upload them
Include them in packaged sim files
Honestly just enjoy them
YOU MAY NOT:
Do any of that awesome stuff without letting me know 😉 Particularly if you recolour or age-convert my stuff, please tag me so I can download it too lol😊
Hope you enjoy these, and there will be maaaany more similar posts coming....
Based off the fact this set itself is 15% of a GB even after all that texture referencing I did, I guess this can be considered a megaset.
So, first off you get the Skyrim Light Iron Armor and the Heavy Iron Armors. The Heavy one is the one with more armor pieces on it. It's a reasonable number of polygons. It's ~9K polygons and available for teen - elder. No separates versions. However, you do have options between my lower poly version of smooth hands or Maxis meshes for the hands but you must only choose one.
Below is a close up on my new hand mesh in action. Body meshes and resources for my new hands will be available in the future. These hands are 1,650 vs 470 for Maxis hands. The Original Smooth Hands is 2,200+ polygons.
Next, there's the iron helmet which is not a true hat hair since I have commitment issues for which hair I'd want to pair to the helmet. This hairstyle is under 4k polygons and available for all categories so you'll have to manually set them. Available teen-elder.
Next up you have the Skyrim guard armor which is definitely low polygon. This one's under 3,000 polygons and it is available teen-elder. I've made a ton of my own textures for it in the swatches above. It also comes in the colors of the original 9 Skyrim holds. This one also comes with separates (tops and bottoms) that are categorized the same as the full body outfits. Available teen-elder. Everyday, Athletic, Outerwear.
I also did the helmets in matching colors. The helmet is also pretty low poly at 734 polygons. It's also not a true hat hair so it's for all categories since I have commitment issues which what hair I'd want to pair it with.
For both of these, because there are so many different age groups and mesh options that all are capable of sharing the same texture, the textures have been separated into separate texture files that are required. So you'll make sure you have the required body files and the corresponding texture files. Swatches are also included and labeled so you can figure out which colors you want. Without the texture files, nothing will work.
Coming in last are gambesons from The Witcher 3 that come in at around 10,200 polygons. Like the guard armor, this one has separates (tops and bottoms) that are categorized the same as the full body meshes. For this one you'll have a required body texture file, the gambeson texture file/pants texture file/both (if full body), and the boots you want. There are swatches included but the color scheme is roughly the same offerings as the Skyrim Guard gambesons above. This one is available child-elder. Everyday, Athletic, Outerwear.
Below you'll find a list of The Sims 2 Base game sound resources
that I've identified so far, along their instance number - this is for people who'd like to export particular sound, or replace it with something else.
My first attempt at replacing game sound resource with MP3 failed (older sound defaults: less dog barking in hood view and no bed woohoo music were made with resources found in the game files).
I used wrong export settings back then, now I tried MP3 32000 Hz /48kbs and it seems to work fine.
Worth noting - sound duration has to be the same as cutscene (or longer). If it's too short, it gets stretched and becomes too slow.
-----------------------
ALL sound resources extracted with SimPe get .MP3 extension, even if it's in fact an .xa file. Most audio players can't open .xa files and will throw an error.
XA format files can be converted to .WAV with Xantippe app. You need to change .mp3 extension to .xa before you open it - if xantippe throws an error that means the file is actually an mp3 or spx.
'Voice' files are almost exclusively spx format, more about that here, post by lingeringwillx @ MTS2 - they created python script to decode it, post includes instructions on how to tell if a resource is .xa or something else.
Lazyduchess has shared a re-encoded version of TS2 spx voice resources, these are mostly mp3 and can be played in any app. (Patreon DL link).
--------------------------
How to search for the sound in the game files:
Open TSData folder
[The Sims 2 / base game Folder]/TSData/Res/Sound
Open one of these three sound packages in SimPe: Sfx1, Sfx2, Misc. Browse "mp3 or xa Sound File"
open "filter resources" tab on the right,
paste Instance number (the last one in a row) and click 'set'
if nothing shows up, drop another sound package into SimPe (Sfx1, Sfx2, Misc) until you see the sound on the resource list.
(I've only specified if a file is MP3 in a few cases, but there could be more of those. Some sounds have a few versions so I can't guarantee these are actually used in the game)
color values and tips for CC creators / SimPe users
Additive TXMT settings (stdMatAlphaBlendMode set to 'additive') allow you to create many colorful glowing variants of one gray texture (ExtRaw8Bit format). These are used first and foremost for lights - wall lamps, table lamps, neons.
Top pic features my 'Everglowing Flamingo Neon' recolors, all done with one 8bit texture and TXMT settings.
Here are some RGB values for StdMatDiffCoef + StdMatEmissiveCoef - as shown in the pic below, a combination of these two works best.
Basic colors: green / red / blue / cyan / magenta / yellow - are easy, you just pick the color from the drop-down palette in 'Categorised Properties' tab.
In case of intermediate shades, it's a bit tricky - some colors look almost the same in game - like these three:
Color chart comes in handy:
If you need less saturated shades, you can copy color value to RGB color editor of your choice and desaturate it slightly - then copy that new RGB value into StdMatEmissiveCoef field.
I don't recommend setting darker RGB color values to darken the lightpattern. Instead, you can lower stdMatAlphaMultiplier value - default is 1.000000. Setting alpha to 0.500000 will make it around half less bright.
Alternatively, you can darken the ExtRaw8Bit texture itself. I use "Curves" or "Levels" for that, since simple Brightness sliders tend to lower contrast and texture is slightly dull-looking.

I was thinking of replacing some of the ambient animal sounds in The Sims 2 to match what I hear where I live. I know how to extract sounds with SimPE and convert them to wav files with Xantippe, but I'm stuck. My questions are:
Is there a way to convert .xa files to .wav in bulk? Xantippe only does it one at a time and I don't have three lives to do that for thousands of files. Since the files don't have descriptive names in SimPE, the only way to identify them is to convert them to .wav and listen to them.
If I manage to find the ambient files I'm looking for, what would I need to do to convert them back to .xa format, once I'm done making the new sounds? Or do I just save them as mp3s and change the file extension?
Decrease the strength of terrain paint application (in TS2)
If you are like me, you almost certainly never play around with terrain paint. It's not that I don't like to, but the application always felt too strong for me to do anything that doesn't look extreme with it.
So, the other day I was going around looking at the game's directory, and stumbled across these two values in the "Terrain.ini" file:
This file is located in: LATEST EP/TSData/Sys
*The exact location depends on where you installed the game, which edition you are currently using and which is the latest EP you got installed.
This might just be common knowledge, but I personally never saw anything related to it, so I'm sharing in case it interests others.
It's fairly self-explanatory: if you change the "PaintBrushStrength" value to something between 0 and 1 (I imagine higher values are accepted but probably useless), the strength of the paint application decreases accordingly.
I've personally put the value at 0.1 – but you might find that too slow of an application. I also feel like this increases how much money is spent to paint the terrain, since weaker application = holding the mouse button longer = more money spent.
I tried to play around with the "PaintBrushApplicationInterval", increasing it to like 6000 (= 1min), but noticed no difference, so I left the default value as is.
Important note: Remember to backup the file! Alternatively, you can add a comment to any change you've made that reminds you what the default value was (I haven't changed anything else).
