I've come to notice that in a lot of comics, it's like women are discouraged from being adults, and pushed towards being younger "girls" (Raven, Starfire, Barbara, just seem to get younger and girlier. Nothing wrong with that, just would like some variety) but at the same time male characters are never allowed to be perky young boys. (Impulse, for example, being turned into the much darker character Bar Torr during N52.) What's your opinion on patterns like this? Or am I just imagining things?

Wouldn't it be adorable if Megacat likes to slides into boxes? But since he's too big and poofy all you see is the poofy butt legs and tail, and Optimus is just dazzled by the entire situation????
