Anyway enough of my dumb bullshit—may I talk a bit about my mind on each one?
1st: they're kinda just getting comfortable with eachother in college
2nd: They've been friends for longer now, still in college. Fiddleford knows something weighs on Ford's mind, has for a while. People keep talking behind Fords back, he reasons it to be that. He's getting bullied. And I mean he probably is at least to some level. But it's not just that, it's Stanley, it's the family. Fiddleford wants to be there for him, but Ford's pretty clammed up. He's used to keeping his worries to himself. He doesn't really register how damaging it is.
3rd: Beginning of Gravity Falls portal era. A little bit into it, they've become comfortable with eachother again, falling back to what they used to have. They bond reading the same book on work breaks.
4th: they start wearing lab coats and ties to help motivate them into the right mental space for their work and because it's nice to feel a bit important. Stanford insists he can tie his own tie, Fidds knows, but he just WANTS to do this for Stanford. At least for their first time using these. At least... Fidds just wants to show his care for the stubborn bastard.
5th: I like to think Bill harasses Fiddleford for a bit in Stanfords body after the portal incident, before they both fully seperate and this is what spurred both of them into deeper madness. Bill ofc thought storming in like a crazed madman as Ford would TOTALLY convince Fidds to turn and also convince Ford to keep on the work(big brain!)
6th: post weirdmageddon. Muttering about something on some porch. The air is fresh yet with a hint of that regretful weight
If book of bill or the websites debunk any of these thoughts—do not tell me.
I have read book of Bill, but it's been a bit and I've had executive dysfunction on cracking the codes or looking at the website for a long time and I just rather come across the stuff on my own.
If these are blatantly against uncanon, I ask you to please enjoy them as if these were drawings made before these releases.

Fun random fact; three of these I worked on with acrylic nails 4 centimeters tall. I draw with my phone on fingers, so I had to take at least one off.
Life tip: do NOT rip your acrylics off if you used glue instead of nail stickers. Shouldn't do with stickers either, but EXPECIALLY NOT WITH NAIL GLUE.

Is that how people react when someone voices an opinion that doesn't sit right with them? Anyway, I’ll say it again: the voting isn't over, and you'll end up with over 50% positive results. And no, I’m not upset; I just pointed out that the outcome wouldn't be biased regarding the fandom—or whatever you want to call it—or something to be treated as an absolute rule, unlike those earlier polls where 1.3k and 2.1k people participated during the peak of the hype (just repeating that in case it wasn't clear). And of course, those other groups don't focus exclusively on "Billford" the way you do; it's a given that you have fans who love that ship, so there really won't be a fair poll.

I just feel like Simon would spend the first several months on Erid withdrawn as hell and jumpy.
He is just stuck WAITING for the shoe to drop for MONTHS dude.
But Grace keeps being nice to him even if he freaks out or yells or has a particularly bad nightmare and he gets to sit on a beach and drink clean water and eat food that isn't ration bars cut in half and then he meets Grace's students and gets to know Rocky and his partner Adrian and no one is expecting ANYTHING out of him even though he's been SO USLESS and LAZY and taking resources and space.
And the calm drags on and on and I think it starts to drive him CRAZY!!! Like okay!!! Jokes over right??? This next mistake I make will finally get me kicked out of this place (it doesn't) Tell me the C.O.I have found us (they never will) or this is all a really long death hallucination fever dream(He's alive).
I think eventually he might start intentionally acting out. He might purposely break something Grace cares about or say something really mean to Grace and they get into a fight because what the hell Simon why are you acting like that don't be a jerk??? So Simon storms off and locks himself up in his room WAITING. Whatever is going to happen is going to be terrible but at least that shoe won't be hanging over his head anymore.
And then nothing happens. Like there's no big consequence he doesn't get kicked out or sent away or denied food or put in eridian jail or anything. he just makes Grace upset and that's his breaking point.
He's like apologizing PROFUSELY and crying because he can't help it and he didn't mean it he's sorry he doesn't deserve this but he's so glad he's here and Grace is like OH!!! LORD!!!! Because this is a lot of emotion all at once that Simon has clearly been bottling up and Grace was expecting another fight. Grace tries his best to comfort Simon and they make up because Grace does believe him when Simon explains himself.
Simon finally realizes that he's SAFE and then he starts opening up more showing his personality making jokes and laughing and smiling 😮💨 and it's all uphill from there.
