Because I’ve got quite a few “tumblr only” snippets and because not every fic in the Picket Fence timeline is part of the series on AO3, I’m going to link all my Sonic fics in this post in chronological order as best as I can! This isn’t necessarily the preferred reading order, but thought this might be helpful for people who are interested in where each fic falls in relation to each other. Especially since there are so many now! I’ll try and update this as the fics themselves update over time.

Like Gomer’s only character trait was harassing others and making them uncomfortable and despite being killed by Frost he was still rebuilt! I don’t care if he’s in repair mode and can’t move it’s still a dumb thing to do.

LAES Roxas was making a lot of uncomfortable comments at Earth and despite him apologizing for getting Comedy Bot killed he didn’t apologize for their earlier interactions. Lunar and Bonnie did call him out for it but it didn’t amount to nothing because he died and the others now mourn him.

There were those wolf Sun and Moon that had invaded a lot of people’s personal spaces one of them in particular was Eclipse who they kept harassing, wanting to kidnap him and turned him into a wolf against his will. His ‘love interest’ Roxanne kept saying they he should go with him despite how uncomfortable he was.

The most recent example was the episode when Carmine met the new Glamrocks and they kept hovering around him. New Roxanne made the most uncomfortable comment at him. He was definitely frustrated.

I haven't watched in nearly a year, so I've only seen posts that he was just playing dumb and Rosiebell got unfair treatment.

the shows shouldn't be improv.

them having notes or an outline doesn't count as writing. have an actual fucking planned out script.

in a perfect world we would be getting better quality stories from the cast who have amazing stories to tell but absolutely zero way of curating the dialogue to make is sound more like a show and less like yapping for time filling.

the improv isn't always bad. but u can feel when it drags, and that's what turned me off to femme and teass and many MANY episodes of eaps, tsams, laes... despite them having relatively good plots.

I remember when Solar died. I absolutely felt nothing for some reason. But I saw a fan animation. And that one? That made me get the tears rolling. For context, it was a combination of both (New Moon) Nexus and (Earth) Terra’s reactions. I could FEEL the emotions. I could hear the pain. Especially in (Earth) Terra’s scream. The raw pain. I miss it. Now frankly, I don’t watch full episodes of TSAMS anymore. But I still miss those days.

TSAMS has watered down their characters a lot. The last complex character arcs we got were wither nexus and solars overseer arc, but even solars arc was very one sided and extremely rushed and underdone. Characters nowadays see a villian and aren’t really that.. engaged. They’re just “yeah whatever can u leave so we can watch Spider-Man” and never actually take into consideration that their lives are on the line. Titan did that a little bit, but the characters mostly seemed to brush it off.

The best parts of 2022-2024 tsams was how engaged the characters were. The smart characters were intelligent, yes, but they didn’t all know the same stuff and they didn’t make things in 1-2 days. Take Solar and Moon for example. They both were considered smart, but their strengths lied in different things. Moon was more science-tech based, and coded things to build stuff FOR him. Solar on the other hand was very smart when it came to mechanics and workshopping stuff. He literally built the entire daycare in a week with his own two hands. If this isn’t enough, you can even throw Eclipse in there. Eclipse didn’t start out too smart, but you could see him learn. He made due with what he had, and that added to his character.
