I think there's a lot of triage in the way the jedi handle the events of the prequels, and it just gets more and more pronounced as the movies go on. In tpm you see Qui Gon make a series of quite utilitarian decisions within his mission, reflecting the wider backdrop. Even the council changing it's mind about Anakin's training can be understood this way; the evidence of a sith master (who would presumably be in the market for a new apprentice) makes training him themselves a matter of priority, despite their previous assessment of him. At the beginning of aotc they are advocating for diplomacy, by the end they are using the illegal army they were highly disturbed to find to hunt down the separatist leader, previous concerns superceded by the urgency of the now. If they can just get dooku and attack the droid factory now, maybe they can nip this in the bud. The rest can wait. This is an established pattern by rots. They know there's a sith master in the republic, they're keeping an eye out, but they've got to deal with the one they know about. They know palpatine is dismantling the republic bit by bit, but again, gotta get the seps on the backfoot before they act against him. Gotta carry out that coup before they can hold an election. Gotta get the immediate problem under control before moving onto the next one.
Tcw show is littered with this too. It's easy to use this lense about a lot of the problems, and i find it tempting as one possibilty when it comes to the clones. This is especially obvious in the chip arc, where they learn some disturbing things and then let it slide with a grimace. It's not like it's not concerning, it just gets back-benched, like so many other things.
There's probably something in there about crisis forcing action vs crisis forcing complacency. There's a lot of romanticism about times of intense uncertainty and violence bringing about great change, and the og trilogy is itself about a revolution (albeit a restoration rather than true revolution) but the prequels are heavy in the crisis as cause of collapse.

Sabine and Rebel are still on the search for Ezra
I imagined this happened directly after the battle of Lothal. Sabine and Rebel take it upon themselves to search for Ezra on foot, going planet by planet while the galaxy is still at war. -- For those who don't know, Rebel is my Oc insert in SWR. She was an experiment and a project worked on for years by the Empire, just as the Death Star was. The idea was to mold together a Loth wolf and warrior in one. Just like a droid, she follows commands and is loyal. However, yadyadaa, the rebels attack the base, she escapes, and her story continues from there.
Ezra and the purrgil 🌟
this was a gift for a nursery and such a special project for me :)))
We were doing an activity where the kids got to make a playbill for a musical about themselves and all the other kids were like “character list: mommy, daddy, me, my brother, my best friend” “scenes: I get a puppy, first day of school, my baby sister is born”
But one little girl was like “oh, it’s a musical about ME you say” and the character list was all the other girls in the class cast as her body parts, and a story about how her body works.
“Kaylee is nice so she will be the heart. Lily is my kidneys. Sapphire is the lungs.”
She surreptitiously showed me that the girl who kept taking the crayons she was using was cast specifically as “left buttcheek” and I had to pretend like that wasn’t the funniest thing I’d ever seen.
women will describe the most unempathetic, uncaring, detached behavior from their boyfriends and then be like "idk should i say something to him?" like babe i think you should kill him
if she killed him, it would simply be self-defence
Like either way I do hope he is never seen or heard from ever again
I believe this is less detached than you think, he is emotionally abusive at best. He is doing this intentionally. He is attempting to gaslight her. She revealed something exploitable about herself, and he's exploiting it. Abusive men start with "small" arguments that seem impossible to have as a rational adult, and so the reaction from the victim is usually "I must be missing something...maybe if I explain." This is the purpose, to start making her feel detached from reality. This is why they come on reddit to ask if they're overreacting - his abuses are working. He has slowly moved the needle to the point she losing grasp on what is rational and true. I can't be sure, obviously, but I would bet the pillow thing is just one of many, many, many things he is doing to slowly skew her reality.
I only say all this not to say OP or anyone in the notes are wrong, but to remind people that the knee jerk reaction you have, of listening to a woman's bizarre situation and going "huh?? what are you talking about??" that's by design from the abuser. He wants you to believe she's crazy and out of touch and weak minded, and that he's just some oaf she's too stupid to dump. He doesn't mind if you think he's an oaf, if it gives him more control of her in the long run.
Maybe two people I know will get this, but since I’ve been reading The Shuttle and Emma M. Lion at the same time, it’s kind of wild to think that the characters could realistically meet!

I'm not calling him Fergus.
LMD and Betty Vanderpoel have that same homophrosyne-bonded "good man who has nothing" and "good woman who has everything" dynamic that we love, huh?
