Unleash the inner fangirl

The book on the right...isn't saying as much as the book on the left. The red coloring is bold but nothing pops out. The kids have books, a backpack, and there's lockers, so yes a school. The girl has a flashlight so there's a mystery to solve. There's an alien shadow but nothing else so the context of this alien is lost. The cartoonish style isn't a dealbreaker but does have a sense of being removed from the story. It is a representation, not what is.

The left cover, however, the realistic style implies a snippet of the story itself, you are indeed seeing what's inside if you read it. The children are outside a classroom window, and its dark out, so they aren't where they should be, it's a mystery. The girl gasps as the boy looks over his shoulder, showing there might be danger. The alien teacher is dressed normal and ripping off a mask, so this alien is disguised as a human, and getting away with it, and these children have discovered the secret! What's going to happen now? The colors are basic but the bright green of the alien stands out and matches the title, all brought together by the green border.

But the most important part of how this cover is framed, and tied to what I said earlier, is just with this art alone, you the reader are already being brought into the story. The children and you are looking through the window and witnessing this reveal. The boy actually seems to be looking back at you, because you are part of this. Read this book to find out what happens next!

I didn't think that in the great year of 2026 I'd actually have to explain this, but first of all: NO. What Maul did is in no way Ezra’s fault. Because: 

Ezra had absolutely no way of knowing who Maul was or how dangerous he could be. "But- but- but he looks like a demon straight out of hell!" Bruh, Vizago looks like a demon too, but that doesn't mean Ezra is gonna be scared or wary of him. 

Maul INTENTIONALLY—and I repeat, PURPOSELY—played the role of a "weak, fragile old man" to not seem like a threat to Ezra. He deliberately MANIPULATED Ezra’s empathy, pushed his buttons, and formed a bond just to exploit it later for his own goals. Maul knew exactly what he was doing and did it on purpose. And the whole "He's a villain, what else do you expect?" excuse doesn't work because a) it doesn't clear him of responsibility, and b) characters don't have the meta-knowledge of 6 movies and 7 seasons of TCW. 

Kanan and Ahsoka—ESPECIALLY Ahsoka—could have said something. Ahsoka, for one, knows exactly what Maul is capable of, but for reasons known only to Dave Filoni, she stays quiet. I'm not sure if Kanan even knows who Maul is, but still, they are both adults capable of rational thinking. So IF (If!!) we start blaming Ezra for what Maul did, then their blame is either bigger or at least equal. 

AND YET, NONE OF THIS EVEN MATTERS. Because Ezra and Kanan ARE NOT TO BLAME for being DECEIVED! Just like the Jedi are not to blame for being DECEIVED by Sidious.

Movie Description

I had a lot of fun painting this one~ That classic celestial gold and blue combo just can't be beat. I love Agott's character growth though the story, like the phases of the moon, ever changing 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

Of all the main characters, I think there's only Olly left to be brimmed haha.
