stories which clearly have very lofty thematic and intellectual goals but come up short have a unique ability to inspire madness.

like, any time I see a narrative that tries and fails to articulate something profound and nuanced, yet still comes close enough that I can see the silhouette of the thing they were maybe probably possibly trying point at, some apophenic part of my brain always gets set off cause it reflexively wants so so very badly to make it make sense.

but there's nothing there to make sense of, because the reality is it's just a poorly written story that failed to coherently say what it was trying to say. yet I can still hear the muffled words through the walls so some part of me remains convinced that if I just look at the text hard enough, I'll find the missing piece I've been looking for and everything will fall into place, and next thing I know I'm trapped in my own personal copy of The King in Yellow with no means of escape.

Thinking about Prey 2017 again. The muffled voice of the better writer (TM) in my head telling me how to do it differently and more amazing and flawless despite my zero experience with game design or writing in a professional setting. Yet that thought feels wrong as I see the vision. I see the intention that the writers want but it has an uncanny quality of just barely missing the mark. Something beautiful seen through a fucking fun house mirror.

Shadow of War, Bioshock Infinite, Fallout 4, games that get their hooks into me but refuse to reel me in.

The Female Variant mod is an incredible mod that splits the fat, hulk and thin type into two genders. The problem? There is no apparel out there for fat ladies, and so the mod is essentially invisible. My goal here is to change that.

A culmination of 6 months of work for me. I have re-textured almost all vanilla assets for the female version of the fat pawn. I have also re-textured several of my favourite apparel mods so there's even more options.
