The Mexican government is doing a lot of stupid shit to afford being a host of the World Cup, one of which is taking money from retired people's pensions (in some cases they're reducing it by 60%).
The country is facing one of its worst femicide and disappearances crisis and yet the government only cares about a bunch of dudes kicking a ball around a field. Yeah, sure, let's pretend we didn't find more than 500 bags with human remains right next to one of the stadiums for the World Cup.
