Currently on a big binge of various underwater media. Replayed the first two subnautica games and what there is of subnauticva 2 currently, rewatched Blue Sub 6. Now I'm watching the Mars Daybreak, which as far as I know is the only other mecha series other than blue sub 6 to take place almost exclusively in an underwater setting. I'm not going to say it's spectacular because it's not exactly blown my dick off just yet, but it is very solid and quite fun. Surprised at how far this flies under the radar considering Bones made it between Rahxephon and Eureka 7. People are missing out on the talking beluga whale in a power suit who's also a hero of justice

Also, if you've watched Turn A you remember Sochie Heim, who was voiced by Akino Murata. Besides Sochie she's only voiced two other characters ever as far as I can tell, one of those being Enora Taft in Mars Daybreak and the other being Hime from Brain Powerd. But it's kind of funny because Enora is pretty much blatantly Sochie in terms of the way her character acts. I clocked the VA connection basically the moment Enora opened her mouth because it's a really distinctive voice. The characters are so similar it's basically like having a Sochie Heim cameo in a non-Gundam series
