im glad theyre opening up to the peole of Teyvat but the void left behind by their twin is smth they cant ignore and Im so obsessed how whenever their twin appears in the picture they lose a bit of their rationality

A huge part of my inspiration for this comic was the bridge from Starset's Ricochet (actually ive been planning to make an animatic with it, thats why the orange text, but I ended up making this comic.)

like i think these lyrics captures them as well and it was haunting me whenever I sleep.

Because they find the world and its people on it beautiful. And esp the last verse feels to me like them opening up and offering herself to help the nations and these souls shes come to admire/care for. But at the end of it all, like you said, nobody knows her truly. Not even her closest companion rn, Paimon, can replace him.

And shes not fully letting them in either, because even if she does it won't fill the pain of her twin not being there. It really must be so lonely for her despite being surrounded with all these people.

Then with A space and time for you the brainrot kinda got worse hahaha. It rlly showed to me their hurt and despair and now its even shifting towards the twin like

so yeah anyway i had wanted to show

traveler's kind of hyperfocus on their twin that they forget abt everything else, then realizing ppl cared abt them, but still ending with the loneliness from their twin choosing not to be there with them

and I imagine it must hurt sm more than if smth had happened to the twin (like disappeared or dead) because its not just that they're incapable of reuniting with the traveler, its rlly that they're choosing not to. And its a choice they cant bring themself to understand or accept hh (especially seen in the nod krai aq, they know the twin wont willingly show themselves and work tgt with them atm but they chose to put all suspicions aside bc their twin is right there, within reach for once)
