Cannot believe thereβs fucking defence of AGAB-only spaces going on in the transandrophobia tag. Itβs disgusting, because we donβt need to be perpetuating transmisogyny to speak on the issues that affect us. (And also perpetuating things which harm trans men considering we arenβt universally accepted into
The reaction to there being a group of people whoβve decided to dismiss the claims of and harass any and all people who claim to have been harmed individually by a trans woman is not to start throwing transmisogyny around. Youβre just hurting people because youβre hurting. And by roping the idea of transandrophobia into your transmisogynistic crash out you give people more reason to dismiss the harm we go throughβincluding the harm you yourself want recognized.
Even more broadly, AGAB-segregated and gender-segregated spaces are not trans-friendly in general and are broadly exorsexist and intersexist. They rely on the idea that you're less safe around people because of an assignment at birth or because of their gender. Neither of those things inherently predisposes someone to being more dangerous; no that's not how statistics work.

ICE is still patrolling my neighborhood and surrounding areas. Last week they raided a small local water/amusement park in my city where kids were playing. The other day they murdered a man over in Houston, Texas. Theyβre still out there and are still maltreating people.
Please, keep an eye out for yourself, your loved ones, and your neighbors. Know what rights you have if you are stopped or even detained, citizen or not, because they donβt care.
here is a link to the Native American Rights Foundation with information about what you can do if you are approached by ICE at home, at work, in your car, in public, if you are under the age of 18, as well as listing some of your rights when you have even when you are detained.
and
here is a link to the ACLU's Immigrant's Rights page with information about your rights and how to express them in multiple scenarios including being stopped by ICE while in transit, if you need a lawyer, what to do if you are detained while your immigration case is underway, and challenging a deportation order.
they have graphics in english and spanish you can save and print out or screencap to make your lock screen for easy viewing in emergencies
itβs crazy how much diversity there can be in one speciesβ¦these are all pictures of the same bird species (red-tailed hawk)
On this day, 18 July 1969, Black Panthers held a conference in Oakland alongside the predominantly white anti-racist Young Patriots Organisation and Puerto Rican street gang-turned-radical group the Young Lords. A KPIX news report described the event as an βunconventional conventionβ which was nevertheless βwell-organised and orderlyβ, and explained that the Panthersβ motivation in holding it was to emphasise βclass struggleβ and βrevolutionary unityβ. The Young Patriots were a group of poor, mostly Appalachian migrants in Chicago. Although they opposed racism, they originally wore Confederate flags, which they believed were a symbol of rebellion. Leading Panther Fred Hampton played a key role in building links with them and other white working-class youth, until he was assassinated by police. In his speech, William "Preacherman" Fesperman of the Young Patriots, argued for armed self-defence against police brutality: "A gun on the side of a pig means two things: it means racism and it means capitalism and the gun on the side of a revolutionary, on the side of the people, means solidarity and socialism." Later, the Young Patriots abandoned the Confederate flag symbol as an irredeemable symbol of white supremacy. As former-Patriot Hy Thurman explained to Redneck Revolt: βAs we grew politically and respected the Black Panthers and the Young Lords we determined that there was no place in the movement or the world for the Confederate flag. It symbolises a period of time when our Black brothers and sisters were mere property to be sold or destroyed at the white man's convenience. And that the Confederate flag was created to serve as a symbol of plantation owners to perpetuate slavocracy.β Learn more about the Panthers in these books by former members: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/collections/all/black-panthers

THE CHAFF PROJECT
Hi! Are you cis in the UK and you'd like to support trans rights? Great!
How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.
Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.
In practice: the goal is to make it DIFFICULT to identify trans people to target with bathroom bans, and to create many FALSE POSITIVES for businesses.
Basically, you might get accused of being trans and kicked out, because of the badge. You say: I wear the badge because trans rights matter.
You follow up with a letter to the business saying you're fucking furious because some nosy dipshit just tried to play fucking genital police with you in the loos. You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.
Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.
Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.
You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

choosing to play oppression olympics isnt just mean and inconsiderate. like I feel when you call ppl out for it theyre like "does it hurt your feelings that I said your privileged?" like no you are actually doing some serious damage to your own cause
like the recent estrogen legislation. estrogen should never be made a controlled substance. everyone should have easy access to gender affirming care, including DIY. but when people try to spread awareness for this serious issue by acting like trans men arent as affected by institutional transphobia, it just becomes an argument about disinformation, because testosterone is ALREADY a controlled substance. I want estrogen to remain an uncontrolled substance because I want to save trans women from the bullshit than trans men have been having to deal with for over 30 years. and then you have a bunch of people arguing about this bullshit with each other while the law just plods on thru the government and everyone loses.
recently I saw a person talking about the recent, tragic murder of Juniper Blessing. but instead of honoring her memory, this person said that trans men dont experience the same danger. and of course that caused people to bring up the also very recent murder of Luca Redbeard. Both these violent hate crimes and murders happened THIS MONTH and it makes me sick that the trans community cant even honor their memories properly because theyre too up their own asses arguing about who has privilege and social power over the other, instead of seeing that we are all living the same fucking nightmare
